need help!

This may sound lame

but i cant remember the cd key from halo pc and i lost the case and i want to install halo CE, does anyone know where can i get the halo pc cd key in my pc ...... i try the registry but is not there

the registry only gives u part of ur cd key. No help there. You can tell someone about it (Gearbox, bungie, or MS; dont remember who) and if u can somehow prove u own the game, they will give u a new serial #. There are illegal ways of attaining the number, but those are, well, illegal. I dont support that and neither does halomods.

ok ill help

go to start -> run
type in 'regedit' w/out the qoutes
in the left click open 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE'
go to 'SOFTWARE'
down to 'Microsoft'
'Microsoft Games'
'Halo'

then in the right box double click on 'PID'
theirs ur registry # thingy

now i tried that, all there was in the PID value was numbers. My key has letters in it too. Is that some sort of a conversion or does it still work?

That number is the product ID, you know, the thing in the side window when you installed Halo:PC? The one that says "This is your product ID number which you will be asked for if you need to contact Microsoft Support" or whatever... Anyways, I think you just call up Microsoft, give 'em the PID, and they'll give you your CD Key... Hope this helps.
