It's fucking America. "FEAL GUD, MAEK HAPPEH WURDZ AND GET UHPLOZ." Instant election.

This thread is why 14-year-olds are looked down on on the internet.Proclaimer001 wrote:It's going to take more than one drunk prostitiute to bring down ShamWoW Guy!
Alright, I just purchased two of these hotties for my snowboard:

So yesterday I really excited about my new buy, and screw them on to my board. Everything is perfect, they fit, etc. I tried them for size with my boots; it is a great fit. So now I'm really excited to go snowboarding again, as anyone who buys new gear should be. But, when I check weather.com:
"SOUTHERLY WIND GUSTS FROM 60 TO 70 MPH ARE EXPECTED OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN WITH THIS SYSTEM. THE STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS ALONG WITH THE HEAVY SNOW MAY CREATE WHITEOUT CONDITIONS AT TIMES."
I mean come on, I'm really starting to hate Mother Nature. We've had way to many storms this year, and it's only late February. Oh, and it's supposed to hit interior valley, where I live too. -_-

I would go If I lived closer, but it's an hour and a half drive up to the mountains and back from Sacramento, and the tickets a Boreal are $39. I think I'll just wait until the storm passes.JK-47 wrote:Just go. I've been snowboarding in whiteouts a lot this year, and it isn't that bad if you have goggles. Sometimes it gets so bad you may have to stay in the lodge for a minute, but it's not that bad. If anything it makes the experience better.

Wow. I have quite a few rants, so here we go...
1. We're going to the Bahamas tomorrow. I know it should be fun and awesome, but I just don't feel like leaving home for a week and having to make up a full week's worth of schoolwork. I'm not too mad about this since, I mean, it's the bahamas, but still.
2. Half-Life 2 just shut my computer down. I got to the part on Water Hazard where you go up the ladder and find 2 combines and a helicopter outside waiting for you, and so I kill the 2 combines and try to own the heli with the mounted guns. The first time I try, it crashes and I impatiently restart. I wait for the damn thing to load, turn all the settings down to the lowest (which was really just turning texture detail down from high to low) and tried again. I actually got it, and it flew away. So then I go down and back to my boat, and when I face the way I'm supposed to go, which happened to be the same general direction the helicopter was previously, it crashes again. This time I be really patient and after like 5 minutes, a blue box surrounded by a black box shows up and tells me that my graphics driver (igfx.exe or whatever it is (I have integrated Intel graphics)) failed and shut down my computer. Well, I don't know when I'm going to try playing that again.
3. The final thing to top this string of unfortunate events off was I downloaded 3DMark06 to see how bad my computer really was. I ran the tests, noting that in each of the tests the FPS ranged from a measly 0 FPS all the way to a meaty 2 FPS, and when it was finally done I thought that at worst I'd get like maybe 3000 or even 2000 if I was really unlucky.
Well... I was completely wrong. Scroll down to see my results.

...
Nuff said. I'm about ready to rob a bank just for a small $1000 for a better computer. I'm fed up. This has to end. I have to make some money or I might suffocate in the fumes my computer emits while phailing at playing 3-year-old games.

You've got similar specs to my laptop there.
You should run XP for games. I've noticed that there is a notable boost in games with my laptop and I'm sur eyou will too.
aAnd honestly, I don't think there is a feature in Vista that when you downgrade (in b4: "or upgrade lolololololololololololololol") you will really really be missing that much. Especially if you get improved performance.

Sigh... it's no use. If I want to play games, I should have better graphics. Period. Number 1, I don't even have enough space on my HD for a whole different OS, and 2, idk if my dad would let me install it from his disk. Even if I did downgrade/dual boot, I would only get slightly better performance. It's just not worth it.

My phone just broke. First phone I've ever broken, Now I have to go get a new one. I'm probably just gonna have to stick with a piece of crap for a while. My contract is almost up anyways though.Veegie wrote:Phone got stolen.
I'm most angry because the SIM card is busted, and the screen is completely cracked. Now I can't see any of my contacts. I have to copy them all from my computer onto my new phone again.
