exception help
Hey does anyone know how to fix this. Everytime play Halo by using the desktop shortcut and I try to play on Blood Gulch, a sign that says Exception comes up and I can't play it. I bought a new disc, but the same thing happens. When I go to "Computer" and the "DISK" and play Halo, it works, but I can't use mods. Can someone please help me! Thx!

thx
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You just save me a lot of time and trouble. I do have Vista and your way worked!Cryticfarm wrote:If your on vista, run it as a admin, because not on admin you still have the old map file because the installer was ran by admin. Which means the executable not ran by admin will read the old not admin maps instead of your new ones. Try running halo.exe on administrator.

And to everyone else, I'm sorry that I bought a new disc. I don't see what the big deal is. The new disc was only $20. I'm good at modding, but not at computer stuff.

ya
Ya I know, Vista isn't really as great as they said it was. I didn't know about this place untill yesterday though. Anyways I don't really care about buying a new disc because:halo3o3 wrote:You really should have asked here before you went and bought a new disk lolYea Vista is really skrewed up stuff like that, Microsoft should have waited untill 2009 to release it, it's got some major wrinkles to be ironed out.
1. It was only $20
2. If one of my discs brake, I have another.

Re: ya
Actually it was common sense to run it as a admin. If the installer is ran as a admin (like all of them are) you need to run the exe as a admin. You know what? Just run everything as a admin.SwiftNinja1 wrote:Ya I know, Vista isn't really as great as they said it was. I didn't know about this place untill yesterday though.
