3ds Max question

Im trying to learn how to use 3ds max (im using max 6 and i know it doesnt work with hek) In the tutorial it says you have to link the box to the reference frame. It says to use select and link in the create tab, but i cant find that. Is that only i 3ds max 5?

well not trying to flame or anything but y u bother doing it if u dont have the rite 3ds max
(i have the same exact version of 3ds max and it fucking sucks if they dont make that compatible with HEK cuz i got it like 2 days before HEK came out thinking they would eventually make one since so many people had it)
