eBay Question!

Post by JacksonCougAr »

Very new to this an want reassurance...
eBay Item Link
Does this mean I simply pay for the product immediately, and I will get it no matter what?

Also; is eBay safe? I mean I wouldn't get ripped off or receive a bricked unit would I?

Anything you think I should know please post; much thanks, Cougar.

Yes. :]

You wouldn't get ripped off unless your buying from someone who has been given a bad rep. Thats what the feedback option is for, and the rating system.

Buying from this guy will not get you ripped off, err, company, whatever.

That person looks fine... 100% positive is a good thing.
I want that zune myself...Wanna pay and send it over? :)

That's actually a really cheap player! I've seen them up for $350 AUD, yet that one is $250 AUD

I could do it ScottyGEE but you'd need to pay for most if it :|

The fact that I'd still need to order through eBay, wait for it, then send it to you through int. Shipping means it could take awhile :|

The seller is perfectly fine.

Buy It Now means you just buy the unit at a set price. The seller has set up the sale this way because he has 16 identical units to sell. You can also use Buy It Now if you absolutely want to win a bid, even if it means paying a little extra.

The seller is a power seller. One thing you should always do is make sure that the item you are buying is typical for the seller. A seller who has sold a hundred E-Books to boost his feedback then suddenly wants to sell you a Zune is probably scamming you. But the seller in question seems to have an electronic background and it should be fine.

Yes, eBay is usually pretty safe. If you're careful, you shouldn't have many issues. Occasionly you'll probably have some issue, but generally it's a simple mistake and the seller or buyer can work it out with you. It's still probable that you'll meet up with a scammer every once in a long while, though that probably won't happen unless you're a really active eBayer that buys hundreds (or thousands of items)

iPod Nano is not comparable to the Zune.
iPod Classic/iPod video, yes, but not the nano.

Furthermore, Tom Clancy, back up your argument. I've used both and haven't seen any one definite thing that makes one better than the other, or at least to the extent you put it.

I wasn't really looking for an argument, more or less, just speaking in generalities. But, anyway, here it goes.

I've never had any iPod larger then a Nano, but, I have used the iPod videos. Really, the many reason I didn't go with an iPod is, they're much more expensive (compared to the $90 I got my 30gb Zune, not standard store price), and Zune's have a more common video support, WMV. It has a larger screen, and a larger TV Output resolution. I think the UI is nicer, as is the ability to have a custom background. Finally, I like the the 'Zune' software over iTunes, any day, though, I do lose the ability to change larger amounts of track information, I do that in the standard 'Right Click -> Properties method.' :P

I don't really want to get into an argument, so, sorry if my previous statement made me seem like an arrogant punk-who-knows-nothing. ;)

Kirk is using the word "argument" as a synonym for the word, "claim." He's saying, back up your claim, explain why a Zune > iPod.

Never would do that; its a stupid way of doing it unless your only going to listen to ~100 songs, and only once in a while. Having a dedicated, good, device is always best.

No, obviously not.

But I don't listen to music all that much, and as long as I have a power input, I can listen to them for a long long time (2GB of space)
So, when sitting in an airport or something, it's excellent, also on the bus to school, back from school, occasionally during lunch. You don't need a ton of battery power for that.
