Are you insinuating we should refer to the opinions of a fetus to make our laws?
He's saying the children without homes could have been avoided if abortions were legal, essentially. You're saying it should be their choice, that choice would be made pre-birth in this scenario, and at that point they aren't even capable of a rational thought process regarding something like that.
Ombre, I don't really think that was a very logical statement (no offense), Although I don't agree with abortion except for rape and incest (most cases same shit), doesn't mean its the baby's choice. He/she cant even talk or have the mindset to form its own opinion. The error this country sometimes makes is that it ties religion with constitutional rights, I don't think abortion is right, I do not like the idea at all but not because God doesn't. I think every living thing should have the chance to prosper maybe you will give birth to the next bill gates, or maybe to the biggest asshole in the world but what can you do about it?, You cant pick what kind of baby you will have but you can give the child a chance to strive in America.
My candidate is Obama, I like his views and I'm excited if he wins the election for 08', bash me all you want but before you do I went ahead and I looked at ALL the candidates running for 08', and I read all their views whether republican or democratic, And I found Obama to be my best choice.
I like his policy for abortion and how he will deal with health care, and even though I am against homosexuality I cant disagree with his opinions on the subject "We need to dis-tangle the word marriage from the word gay rights" Gay rights isnt only about marriage, they get discriminated if they go and try and rent an apartment together and sometimes its very hard for them, I think that marriage has been the same since before this country was even founded we have no reason to change it. But do I believe that a homosexual has to hide his sexual preference in the military? No. Thats not right you shouldn't make someone pretend to be something different the whole point of America is to become successful being yourself the government has no right to say what you cant be and what you can be when and where.
And on illegal immigration, I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I got my green card and residency just a few years ago. I did not know a word of english. If you talk to me know you would think I was born in Utah, I worked my ass off to learn this language, and I understood that since this is not my homeland things would be a bit different there, I dont find that unfair, Yeah I have to work harder to do something with my life here, But I would rather be here and make 34 dollars an hour for a job I love doing than over at Argentina getting less than America's minimum wage for the only job I was ALLOWED to have. And also I didnt come here illegally I had to stay in Argentina for a bit until I could come over, And sure it was hard but if you really want to prosper that bad and you want to be happy that bad then you can wait. Criminals and lazy asses who want it easy are most (note the word most) people that come here, the people that come and dont ever learn to speak english, I refuse to speak spanish at my job if you do not learn the language then im sorry hommie find someone that will accommodate you you have been in this country for ten years and you mean to tell me you cant speak a word of english, man get the fuck out of here with that B.S. I think that they should improve the process for immigration but that doesnt mean speed it up.

Turals response is somewhat of what I would say. My only would be whether or not you believe an unborn baby is alive, and then my second objection would be, do babies even have the right to be born in the first place? No. So it shouldnt be up to them whether or not they live in the womb. After they are born it is a different story. But, Im getting off on a tangent here, so to be relevant to the topic, none of the candidates today, on abortion, will get my vote. I dont believe abortion should be a federal issue anyways.
Though Tural, whether or not you got the full idea from last statement i dont know, Im just clarifying that by without homes, I mean more than just without a home (education, food, healthcare, etc.). I think you get the idea but Im just making sure.
It wasn't very logical, but at the time I couldn't think of any good way to say what I was trying to. My main beef with abortion is that it's just something irresponsible people do when they don't want to deal with the consequences of their actions (excluding rape). If a person doesn't want kids but insists on having sex they could always get a operation to make sure they don't. In short, abortion is done for mostly selfish reasons, even when the said person convinces herself that she is doing it so the baby won't have to live a "bad" life.
I really don't care for any of the current canidates. I remember reading in HitchHikers Guide that usually, the best person it would be possible to have in charge doesn't want to be. That's about how I feel about our politicians. It all just seems like one giant popularity race, and they will promise anything to win.
(I'm sure there are plenty fallacies in this post for you guys to pick at).
