RIAA Hacked
Don't get me wrong, I didn't really type that in response to your post, mainly I got pissed off after reading the comments on the linked site from the first post of this thread.JK-47 wrote:I didn't mean it's funny like that, my intentions were completely harmless in my other post.Kirk wrote:Yeah right, that's totally funny. The people who want change act by doing illegal acts on a corporation. That'll get us somewhere! yeah! Totally! This'll make the RIAA want to loosen up!
No. This'll make RIAA ticked off and it shows them that the internet, no, the people who want change are nothing but ungrateful assholes after all and we shouldn't give them a break at all.
But no, it's funny.
My mentality isn't "omg thei r kewl 2 poast pirate bai! Bring down teh systemz!".
Erasing the website is one thing, but posting the opposite cause is another. I was just agreeing with you on the stupidity. They should have stopped at erasing the website. The link was the one thing I disagreed with. I'm fine with the rest.

Ah, alright. I took it as a direct comment, my bad ;xKirk wrote: Don't get me wrong, I didn't really type that in response to your post, mainly I got pissed off after reading the comments on the linked site from the first post of this thread.
It's not like they didn't backup their site (unless they're idiots). It's an easy fix. It's not even a scratch to them; like I said, the site was normal in a short time. If it were a big deal it would have taken them days.Tural wrote:Yes, I bet they're standing around the water cooler laughing at the people defacing their site.

I have to agree, if ThePirateBay all of a sudden goes down we know who to blame.Kirk wrote:I see nothing funny about this.
All I see is that it's another excuse for corporations like that to further attack honest people.
And why the *** would they put ThePirateBay.org on there? How stupid does someone have to be?
(...DETOX)

Edit: After reading the entire topic I found out that we're all getting a little worked up over nothing really.
"it's funny"
In a sense, yes. But in the grand scheme of things, no. It's not even really ironic. Irony would be a hacking site hacked by a user of that site. This is just another (government?) site against piracy that was hacked, and in a matter of hours was restored to it's original state. Nothing really funny or ironic there.
