think about it. technology has come a long way. i mean we almost got cloaking down... im sure they can work with pixels no problem.
TomClancey wrote:If I'm not mistaken, they did have something similar like this for glasses? In testing, of coarse.
i was actually thinking about that. i thought i heard about those somewhere. its a better idea in my opinion.

i just dont get how they would work? you cant jsut use your mind unless they just plug into your brain. and either way, wont this hurt your eyes instead of helping them?

...which means you can have either superhuman vision by feeding a zoomed-in image to the device...

RL zoom would be AWESOME.

It would be. I was always wondering if they'd ever invent glasses that could have some kind of magnification. Even something as small as 2x zoom, or even 1.5 would be cool.

Yeah I can sort of see that happening. In fact, i'd much rather see that than watching movies...

If it even did become reality, it'd be good as a spotting scope, or low-powered scope, or something of that sort.

It'd be cool, even just for the novelty if being able to zoom in with glasses.

Yeah I was thinking that. It'd be much more practical than using low powered binoculars, just one more thing you wouldn't need in your pack.

Of course, containing the things needed for magnification in a contact lens may prove to be a problem.

Would it even be possible with contacts? I think, it'd be easier with glasses if it had some kind of analogue switch/slide or something.

IE: On the top rim of the glasses, you slide it left/right for to zoom in/out.

So if you were watching something, how would you hear it? Can't really plug in headphones to contacts...

As for the zoom thing, think of the possibilities (I.E. cheating in school, etc.) It seems like they could cause problems.

I think your teacher would find it a bit suspicious that your eyes are glowing. I'd like to see someone try to look at internet porn at school (especially if the lights are off like the class is watching a movie) and not realize what he's seeing is being reflected onto the wall.

If you set it through a lens, you can make the focal distance right into the average space of someone's eye, so that it is in focus, and then set a lens on the back of the lights, so that it gets diffused too early to be seen on the wall. And they'd probably only project the light forward.
