It made my head ache too >_>galvination wrote:My friend didn't like the movie, he claims they shook the camera the entire movie for that cienmatic effect, which gave him a headache.
That, and the length, were it's only real flaws in my opinion. Oh, and the ending was a little cheesy.
I loved the effects, and loled at the girl who blew up because of the spider bite.

The ending was incredible especially if you were looking in the (SPOILER) background of them on the ferris wheel a black object falls from the sky and crashes into the water. Also at the end of the credits, you hear Rob's voice say "Help Us" all in static then you hear "It's still alive" Also me and my friends speculate the poster takes place after the end of the movie, and the wake in the water was were the monster escaped to.
The camera shook because it was being held by someone the whole entire time. It didn't give me a headache at all.
EDIT: Wtf are you talking about? They aren't spiders. They are like Ant lions from Half-Life.

Leaving right now to see it for a second time. Later!

I didn't draw this. IMO this is an exact drawing of the monster. The tail might be a little longer though...

Listen to Protest the Hero.
Cloverfield
Warning: Ending sold separately
No, but seriously, I believe that they should have cut the crap at the end. They should have given a little information via a voice over at the end. That would at least constitute throwing us a bone! I had to read up on the Cloverfield ARG before I was partially satisfied with the plot, and even then it seemed like a cheap excuse for people to pour their wallets into the sequel.
Argh.
Anyways, that monster drawing is great, it is great to have something I can look at and say "ZOMG! So that's what pwn3d the Brooklyn Bridge!". There are some inconsistencies, however. The beastie has no fleshy reproductive sac on its head, and I remember the mouth having short tentacles in the lip area. Also, did anyone else seem to think that the creature's nymphs looked (and behaved)like Flood Infection forms? It's just the way they flitter about...

I saw it today.
I don't think the words awesome, or great hardly do it justice. But it was awesome; I knew Bad Robot would do a great job with this, and so they have.
I didn't mind the camera shaking.. It hardly really ever happened anyways to a point where you couldn't see what was happening. The ending was great as well.
My only complaint was the people in the theater don't know what whispering is, so I constantly had to tell people to shut up. I plan on seeing it again on Sunday when it's not so crowded.

I looked for quite a while last night and I saw no ARG... A lot of the sites I went to even questioned the existence of it. Did they wipe it off the internet or something? That's what it looks like. I'm not saying you are lying, I'm just wondering if you have any links to it or anything?HPDarkness1 wrote:I saw it again today. 4th time! Also if you guys weren't following the ARG at all, the movie may not appeal to you.

Seeing as this hasn't been posted here yet, here's the infamous (I know, it's old news by now obviously) reversed sound clip from the scene after the credits for those of you who haven't heard it:

Or hear it forwards and backwards here.
