Gunna see it on opening night. Me and some friends have a bet on what the monster and little monsters look like. Should be a good time...

it is really stupid...

the director wanted to go with a new style Godzilla and keep it different. a freaking monster that when its scales fall off they turn into a smaller version of that monster and the stupid thing can be like a zombie and turn people who are bitten into crazy creatures?

no offense its gonna be like dragon wars all hype and no action its gonna come down to the line hell i wont waste my money on it ill just dl it when it comes out just to be able to say i saw it.

It's not Godzilla, its call Cthulhu, a monster who comes from the Pacific when like the stars or something align.

Actually, it isn't. While it has similarities, that is not what it is.

It's an original monster, not Cthulu or Godzilla or anything else.
"I want a monster movie, I've wanted one for so long. I was in Japan with my son and all he wanted to do is go to toy stores. And we saw all these Godzilla toys, and I thought, we need our own monster, and not King Kong, King Kong's adorable. I wanted something that was just insane and intense. It's almost done shooting and I watch dailies and I'm more excited for them than the trailer, which has had an overwhelming response. We have 6 months before this comes out. We're going to have a whole bunch of things, a whole bunch more." He said a full trailer, more clips, full posters, and much more will be coming out over the next 6 monts, including the name, which he will NOT reveal today.

It's called Cloverfield because that is what the government called the case. At the beginning of the movie it says something like, "This camera was retrieved from Central Park..."...

Judging from the commercials it doesn't look like it will be worth the price of a ticket. I will still give it a chance though.

Judging from the commercials, I still don't know what to expect. But they're made like that, so I wouldn't say it's not worth the price of the ticket, but I'd definitely say that I'm going to wait before rushing into the theater...

To copy from the Happiness thread:

Such a god damn good movie. It's so realistic and perfect in every way. The monster is incredibly well done and lives up to the hype (IMO).

If you are seeing it: At the VERY last scene watch the right side of the screen. That is all. You will know what I am talking about.

Sadly if you get the slightest bit of motion sickness...this movie isn't for you...At one point I had to look away from the screen cuz it was just too much. Only for a second though. There is no slowpoint in the movie, except for the beginning of course.

Summary: GO SEE THE GOD DAMN MOVIE. YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

I saw a midnight screening last night and really enjoyed it. Quite a few people in the theater didn't like it...

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST. I SAW IT 3 TIMES TODAY! Yes! That is how good it was, THREE fucking times in a row. It was so good. I'm going to see it again tomorrow. Just go fucking see it. You won't regret it.

I agree with Pyroman though, You either like it or not. Most people hated it because it was only one person with a handheld camera the whole time. I personally loved the film style.
