Here is a text description, "The vid is small and plays on the top left, has toadstole say that our princess is in another castle, he says he is tired of this crud and then shoots toadstole 3 times and it ends there."

Honestly, Anybody can just make a vid and convert it to .bik and it just doesn't seem appealing to see when I would start up halo. I just don't like it 2/10.

they are rating it so low cause the one we did we used custom audio being a beat sample from FL studio and my own actual voice in it. also we showcased the mod itself in that vid and made it fit the theme of the game were modding.. halo, not mario.

honestly this looks like you took a wav. movie and simply ran it through a coverter and named it bungie.bik. there litterally is no effort put into this at all and has nothing to do with halo whats so ever. also, this thing is way to long to watch. when im loading halo im going to immediately hit space bar to skip this cause i dont want to sit through it. the pepness one was all of 7 seconds to convey its theme/message so the player wouldnt be bogged down with a useless vid.

0/10 for the facts of its a 1 click conversion and you didnt do any work in the vid itself. presenting this would be the same as converting a CE map with harbinger and offering a download here.

fun fact:
you can null out all thoes opening vids in halo by either adding the " -video " prompt to your target box the same as you would for -console or you can go into your halo folder and rename the these vids like this..

real name -> renamed to

bungie.bik -> 1.bik
msg.bik -> 2.bik
gearbox -> 3.bik

both methods work and no more intro vids when loading halo.

funnier fact:
if you add the command " /prefetch:1 " to your target box halo will load upto 50% faster.

so prefetching halo with no vids to load on the speedy FTW ui gets me in game prolly faster then it takes you to find the icon to begin. this is not a thread highjack but i at least wanted to have something useful in this thead worth looking at.
