Well what Motherboard do you have now? If it's x16 then it should be fine.
Also, Save for an 8800GT/GTS 512mb. They're worth it.

Meh, I just got it now. Thinking ahead, realistically, I'll be focusing on university a lot more, so I'm not going to really need a huge gaming computer. The 8600 GTS will work for now.

Ugh. At the risk of sounding emo, I just feel like I have an unsatisfiable void inside of me. I don't really get enjoyment out of anything I do anymore, yet I continue to do them just for the sake that they should be rewarding or make me feel like I'm not just wasting time. Everything just feels boring, then I finish it and look for something else to do. Nothing seems to..."last" anymore.

School feels like it's just fucking pointless, I'm doing more work to just apply to a place than I will do once I'm in there. I had a mock freshman year of college this year, and the first semester felt like a fucking joke. I slept every day in my PoliSci class aside from test days and got a 90. I got a C on one of my 4 papers in Literature 1101 and got a 100. I got a 75 on one of my two tests in Math, only an 80 on the final and got a 90 in the class.

Really I wouldn't mind working in a "shit job" like construction, and frankly I could probably drop out and live fine on my own in a while. I don't plan on getting married or having children, money isn't going to become too big of an issue if I get a house/apartment/roof over my head. I can live without all of the luxuries I've been provided, and I'd be happy to just be on my own with shelter and food. But GTAF, why don't you just shut up and do it then? Because society makes you feel fucking obligated to finish high school, college and do some boring ass 9-5 job for the rest of your life. There's no sense in 99% of the work we do in our life, and we're just wasting time until we become the legal age to do work.

I might expand upon this further later, but I'm done bitching for now.

I agree with you GTAF...for instance, I'd be really interested in being a mechanic. Sure, it's tough work, but it's something I'm being interested in doing, the education for it is short, and if you take time to get certified right, you make great money from it...
I could do that until I feel comfortable, then work just a fun job to keep some flow of money, but a bunch of people that I tell that I want to be a mechanic just laugh at me. Hooray, society.

Still dunno though. Shooting for either a 2D graphic designer or mechanic, and I just don't know what I'd like more.

I know exactly how you guys feel. I have so many different thoughts on what I want to do, and sometimes they are very odd jobs that make people look at me funny and make my dad say "Why would you want to do that when you could make something better of yourself.". *sigh*

I still have a couple years before I need to decide what I'm going to do. I wish it would come sooner so I am forced to chose and actually get something done, or accomplish something, but w/e. It would be impossible to fit all my thoughts in one post. This is just a tiny tiny sliver of what I just want to say and yell out.

I understand as well. A lot of the futures I plan on having don't involve college at all, however, I'm going in it anyways for the sake of getting it out of the way. I don't know why... I don't really like the idea of going to college what-so-ever, but I'm doing it because it makes sense.
I've been thinking, though... It would be pretty cool to go to the police academy and work as a police officer for a while... I dunno though. I never can set my sights on one occupation, and it seems like the 'shit jobs', as you said, are the more interesting ones. I'll be damned if I'm going to be in a cubicle my whole life, that's for sure.

This is my first real rant in ages. If you disagree with anything below, take pride in the fact that you are almost certainly right.

The majority of PC modders seem to complete ******* idiots. Excuse my French if you will, but they always seem to be ranting on about hell, and how they want to go there, and how good it will be. No-one seems to care about PC modding anymore, just ******* off the staff to get attention, and doing their best to go off topic and discuss personal issues. It's just not on.

Secondly, nobody in the PC section can spell. It's a fact. I know we're all human, and bound to make mistakes, but does anyone actually preview their posts, use capital letters, or bother to check for random errors? No. It's a waste of time, if you ask them.

Finally, apart from the select few, for some people, modding is all talk. They can't release any worthwile mods, if anything, that is, and they just keep on asking stupid questions, like 'How do I skin?', or 'How do I start modding?'. In conclusion, you see, I generally hate all PC modders, apart from a few friends, who are compentant enough to respect other people.

I would like to end this note with a piece of advice. If you see someone doing something stupid, don't flame them, report them. If you want to answer questions, don't make a topic on how great you are, put a message in your sig. Whether you are religious or not, treat others as you wish to treated yourself,
Phil

I've just though of something else that really annoys me.
If you live in the UK, every time you go to the cinema, the first thing you see is not the film. What you see is a demonic looking Phil Mitchell lookalike, armed with a red hot poker that he looks ready to thrust up your ***. Then we are greeted by the patronising voice of God: "The pirates are out to get you!"
Catch my drift?

I go to the cinema on a weekly basis, and I've never seen that.

Agreed. Especially on the flaming part. I see a lot of arguing over there on the most ridiculous things.

With the exception of a few members, for example Caboose and Pepsi, I agree.
