In your original post, you said that you hated when your flashbangs left some enemies mysteriously unscathed; I have also experienced this. I was wondering if your complaint with the spawning of AI was dependant upon that fact.

Now, looking back on my playthrough, I realize the only time I had a large issue with flashbangs was on Mile High, but you are forced to run through this level, so there is no respawning AI.

Maybe I didn't seem to be bothered by the respawn of AI because IMO, CoD2 was much worse.

Ah well.

Fuck.

My dad's computer parts came (motherboard, PSU, CPU, RAM), and we installed them to the dot on the instructions, which I double check always just in case.
No video.

We got the same motherboard I have, so I swapped in my graphics card. No video. I put it back into mine. Video. I take my computer upstairs. No video. Fan doesn't spin. I try the integrated slot. No video.
Fuck this shit.

I'm HOPING the motherboard on my dad's computer was just some defect (P5L-VM 1394 by the way), but that doesn't explain why my graphics card thought it'd be a great time to die.

Newegg. Which is a bummer. I'll probably return the motherboard (hoping that's the problem with my dad's computer), and I'll buy me a new graphics card. Glad I have some money saved...

So it's fair to have the enemies do just that? Give me infinite lives without having to start from a checkpoint and it'd be fair, but when there's three guys with RPDs staring at my only entrance in to a place that are somehow immune to flashbang grenades, and guys on the other side of the hall staring at said entrance as well, it's not a challenge, it's just a cheap gimmick to make you think it's challenging. I don't mind challenge here and there, odds stacked against you, but it's just ridiculous when it gets to this point.
1 shot 1 kill in unbelievably hard a beaten all but two other missions in veteran and the ones i haven't i beat in hardended but i can beat that one
i have a checkpoint a 4400 meters till helicopter comes and ive made it till it comes but there is no checkpoint between 4400 and 0 it is so homosexual

KKC and GTAF both had problems on it. I found it to be relatively simple.

I didn't find that one too hard either the only one that I found hard during the whole game was the level where you have to deactivate the nuclear missiles and you go inside the base. I just hated the people who hide behind boxes and would shoot the shit out of you. I'm pretty sure everyone has trouble with Mile High Club so I don't need to go into detail on that, but thankfully I beat it.

Eh...I dunno. I had problems with the end of it for a bit, but I didn't know you could actually get on/behind the bumper car place...after that I got it first try. =\

No Fighting in the War Room had two parts that took me a bit (of swearing) to get through, but honestly I didn't think that Mile High Club was as bad/brutally hard as everyone's making it out to be. It was 90% luck, 5% knowing what you're doing, and 5% skill...I got to the end one time before I resorted to Tural for help, but I shot the hostage (went in to iron sights too fast and didn't have time to distinguish between hostage/terrorist).

I spilled 40 ounces of Coke and orange soda in the back of my dad's brand new Yukon. Then I left the mats out overnight. now they're sunbleached. Then he disowned me. Meh.

Related to CoD4's infinitely spawning enemies thing.

In Halo 3, on Tsavo highway, there's this part where you get cornered in a building (you don't have to, it gives you cover) and like 5 phantoms come, each with one fuel rod chieftan, and two brute shot gold guys. I was like "Fine," but on Legendary, it was my least favorite part of the whole fucking game. It was on coop, my friend had a sniper and shotgun, while I had a brute shot and shotgun. So the brutes came. Almost immediately, brute shots and fuel rods were bashing us senseless. The building gave no cover, as for some reason, military architects in Africa decided that you would get more protection if the entire front of a building was open so every shot fired would get in at you. So my friend sniped while I bombarded. Every time, the fuel rod bitch managed to find us in our cover, and hit us with about 85% accuracy. And with no place to run to, that accuracy turned into 99%. Eventually, my friend and I worked out a system: If one of us died, the other of us would get behind the buildings where the "in combat" message decided to shut up and let me respawn.

So at this point we had managed to kill off the first and second dropship. No checkpoint. So then we got raped by like 40 more brutes. So we went back to the beginning where we had to fight for 15 more minutes. Then we got to that point, for some reason, the game decided we could have our checkpoint then. We had some hope, but no-o-o. A wraith, jetpack brutes, and a fuel rod chieftan and a turret chieftan started bombarding us again. Mad sniping and charging ensued. My friend ran out of sniper ammo, and I had to cover him while he got a carbine. I got a battle rifle and managed (after six deaths or so) to get a captured fuel rod. We fired over and over again, but the bullets reached their age and disappeared while the enemies from across the map could hit us. Eventually, we managed to kil the brutes and I stole the wraith, an in the next part I killed all but one of the wraiths for my friend to take, and then the level was too easy. We just covered everyone with wraith shots and the level was suddenly over. Easy to say I was very relieved.

The reason I was annoyed no matter how long we fought, Bungie had the cliche that until we killed every enemy on our own, no reinforcements would come. The second after I killed the last brute, the pelican came with reinforcements. They should have a timer of 10 minutes or so where the pelican comes, drops some reinforcements, and does some strafing or something and goes away. Would be more realistic and not bullshit.

Worst night of sleep I have had in a long time. I had so much shit on my mind, and my right trapezius muscle was killing me. Every time my right shoulder moved at all, or my neck angled the slightest bit to the right, there was this extremely sharp pain...so basically I sat in my bed and rolled around for 3-4 hours until I passed out I guess, and woke up with an extremely stiff/sore neck. Fuck.

I had the same problem playing it on Legendary, trying to get the EOD chest. Finally I decided that, while my friend was in the bathroom, I resumed the game, stuck him behind the building, and stayed back with a sniper and shotgun.
Did it perfectly by myself. It was way worse to actually play it co-operatively, at least for me.

No one stayed with my Uncle's friend when I warned them to. He was at a campfire by himself, drunk.
