Library mod problems

well im not saying that it suks... i love it! but i dont luv how it screwed my computer in the arse. i applied the sound .ppf after i downloaded the library mod and that took forever
i had to apply it twice cuz the first time it froze up
oh and i used HHHT to apply it
now when it FINALLY said it was done i started and hosted a library server. i spawned and i noticed that the guy who said "capture the flag" , or "blue team flag returned" didnt say anything! so i ignored it. i walked over to the worthog and got in. i noticed no engine sound
i found the nuke
shot it 5 feet away at a wall
and noticed no sound while richocheting off the walls continuously.
soooooooooooooooooooooooooi quit halo and watched the RvB movies.
NO SOUND WHATESOEVER
i went to the sound option on my taskbar and looked to see if it was somehow on mute
no dice
SHIT!
now what has just fuked my computer in the ass to the extent that i cant hear anything?
i tried removing the ppf
i tried reinstalling halo
i recopied my maps from my backups folder
NO FUKIN DICE
this fukin happened when i installed the "stealth gulch" thing
exept it only had a bitmaps and it only messed up halo
with "stealth gulch" (yes i HAD to put it in caps again), it fuked up the Halo ring world on the start menu and made it all screwy
what just screwed my computer
what is wrong
is there anything else i could try?
please help me
oh and dont take me wrong i love this mod... only i want sound
it's a HUGE step for halo modding........welll at least until HEK comes out

I think the most likely culprit is a coding error in HHHT. If there was it could have very weird effects like that when the computer got messed up. You can always reformat the comp and start over. Don't worry, it isn't that hard (I did it already) and Halo will most likely work better anyway.

i optimized it for gaming using a guys list at Black Viper's Website and that has kinda improved speed

well i would look for some way to fix ur computer use formating as a last resort sorry i dont know the answer but yea formating u lose EVERYTHING which well sucks

2.Actually I didnt call you a moron who didnt appreciate s4!+, but you seem to think i did.

I might know why the sound aint working...

when the sound stops, hit Alt + Tab and when you get to your desktop, doubleclick on the sound icon and in playing volume, hit mute all once so you see the check by it, then hit it again so the check is gone and go back to the game. fire a shot, if you get sound, you have fixed it. If not, consult your local software dealer on a new soundcard

RESULT: no dice with the mute and unmut thingy... ill go try reinstalling the mod

I had a problem too with the library mod. When ever I play it and go to get the nuke when I ever get about 10 feet away from it my computer freezes every time.

the same thing happend to me with sum mod i dont remember but i just reinstalled my sound card driver software and it fixed the sound. i didnt try the mod again tho. best of luck
