this was the last map to edit and PMI or what not. all thats left is to add all my global settings i want for the entire project, play campaign again to check everything is still correct and sync'd and fix a few minor texture problems and inject some models i wanted to add to this. a little hex editing and maybe beef up the AI a tad more. also have to kill some misc tags and markers but its all downhill from here.
once that is all done im going to have a final beta that i will give my beta people. when they say its 100% go this will be released.

at this moment is when you add your blunt feedback on things. things you want added or removed. some i listen to and some i may ignore depending on the idea or who the person is with the rep they carry. its been a fun ride guys and its almost over. 6 more loops to go then its your turn to hop on.

please give some feedback to people how this FTW is for you. the only reason i say this is that i cant. anyone is going praise there own project and im not trying to do that. leave some comments on your experience while playing this. remember.. you were just like everyone else waiting for this until i said.. "meh, wanna beta tbh?". part of begin a beta tester for me is letting the people who browse this thread have another view besides my own. consider it quality control reviews if you will
final beta will be out within a week from today.

Well, im going to describe this mod in more detail than just epic. its not even like halo anymore. this is like the map "church" only with out the lag, and alot more maps. It was fun beta testing. The skins are amazing. The lighting is incredible. it amazes me that bungie did not do everything they could to increase the way halo is played. it might be because they though that people with bad graphics couldnt handle it but meh, deadhamster did it just fine lol. This has been an amazing project to follow, im kinda sad its almost finished, yet im over joyed that the mod is almost completed.

I just recently was added as a beta tester, and just yesterday got my new graphics. I made it a point to go through every single map with my new graphics, and was awed. Absolutely dumbstruck at the amount of pure epic that was pouring out of this mod. The lighting is amazing, the skins in general are outstanding, there's nothing in this mod that isn't damn near perfect. I've discussed a few thing with Pepsi about certain things I've seen, and he's had an answer for each one. He knows exactly what he's doing, and is putting forth an Amazing amount of work into this mod, and it clearly shows.
Even on the crappy graphics card I used to have, which was unbearably bad, the mod still looked amazing, and ran perfectly fine on full video settings. While it wasnt nearly as epic as on the new graphics, it was still amazing. so from crap->leet, there's no question about how great this mod will be. It's going to raise the bar unbelievably higher. Pepsi should be allowed to post this right into outstanding. There's no question that's where it belongs, and thats where it will be.

Holy crap Pepsi!! I just love how you have embelished Halo's engine & done something completely new & beter than what bungie did. I think the reason they did not do this is because the Xbox proly could not handle the graphics possible with Halo. I bet if you tried to convert these mods & Re-do(Redux) the Xbox would have trouble running it. Also halo came out when the Xbox first came out so it is pretty dated technology not to mention that modern PCs is most defenantly more powerful than the original Xbox. Wow that was the smartest sounding thing I have ever sed bout a halo related topic! lolz

well, tonight i had a toothache that literally would not let me sleep so i tried out a idea that was a creative spark coming from the mind of UPS that we evolved into something never done before. not even in Halo 2 or 3 that i think. didnt you ever find it dumb that you fight all this crap in campaign and chief never took any visual damage? i mean.. hes been beaten, battered but at the end hes still nice and shiny as ever.
PFFT!! evidently he didnt play on the pepness "EPIC" setting before...
well tonight he did and by time d40 came rolling around he was not looking cute anymore. so what am i saying? basically this..
during your run in campaign you will notice chief taking more and more damage to his psychical apperance as the levels progress. each level will add something new to the mix. some are subtle and some are very noticeable. i would keep pics out of it but i want a reason for people to play campaign again and see what i mean when viewing thoes cut scenes cause thoes cut scenes contain more now then chief looking beaten.

For anybody still wondering where FTD has gone, here it is.
Pepsi all I have to say is wow, the atmosphere of gephyrophobia is amazing, The fog and the lighting effects are unbelievable. also how did you make the MC's skin look different in the levels? also a comment on the MC skin, I notice one both of the reference pictures that the upper part of the MC is more defined and clear, whereas the feet and lower parts of the body and fuzzy and look like the skin is stretched over them. idk that is just how i am seeing it. good job.

A little trick I showed to him, that I learned from, Philly I believe? If it wasnt for the trick, pepsi's creative genius would be limited. Brief summary:also how did you make the MC's skin look different in the levels?
Maps share a bitmaps.map file. They also share some bitmaps in it. So if you skin a bitmap to mix with map A, it may not look good in map B,C and D, and therefore you have to find a common ground, which limits what you can do with it. by using the trick, basically, you make a whole new bitmap, and only that level references it. So now you can use whatever skin you want with it, and the other maps wont be affected. This increases the size of the bitmaps.map file, which yes, means you'll have to download the entire 300++++MB file. It's worth it.
This also means that if you try to use Pepsi's bitmaps file with a stock map, it wont work, same as using a stock bitmap with his maps. The reasoning is that the maps are looking for file A at location A, when really it's at location B. Everything is jumbled. Sort of a little un-intentional security thing.
I hope I didnt give too much away with that pepsi, you asked me not to say anything a while ago, so I've been keeping relatively quiet about it, except for a few people in the "Night Modding Crew", and only after you asked me to help them. lol. It's not like it's a well-kept secret, it's posted in a topic with instructions on how to do it. I didn't say what it is, just in case that'd be too much.
Pepsi, I see you went ahead with that damage idea you were talking about earlier. It looks great, I loved the idea, and I love the outcome of it even more. Cant wait to beta everything when it's all set in motion.
