Stupid Halo PC being an outdated engine...things would look wonderful with bump maps.
Yeah, I wish I could put havoc in HPC....
Its the same engine-base H2 has

Everything would look MUCH better.

I wonder if thats possible...
Dude, havoc is a physics engine.

I don't think it's impossible to bump map on the PC. But eh, no one has a reason to look into it with all the new games out :( If I knew what I was doing, I would work my ass off to make it happen.

when in essance you have to consider what bumpmapping does on each game engine. usually a bump map is referred to the raising of a testure to make it more 3d if you will. while it may not be a true bumpmap as we see in todays more modern games i have to disagee with the statement that your cant "bump" on PC. threason i say this is that if you couldnt "bump" on halo pc then why does the snow in FTW look so damn sexy?

yes, it says bump in hmt and it is technically a normal map its still doing the same in essance a bump would do i think.

Yeah, it's definitely not impossible to do bump/normal/whatever maps in Halo: PC, it's just that, from what I've experimented with them, they can't be set on dynamic objects like weapons, vehicles, or bipeds.

Actually they HAVE been, it just looks shitty due to having to use a different shader type which doesnt support all the pretty parts. I suggest you PM Mr. Chief or dalek/warlord.
