I have a problem

Post by ajax17 »

My Halo CE works fine until I try to add custom maps in. We place them in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\MAPS folder right? When I do that, I get an error which tells me one of the files is corrupted and then it says that particular map's name in parentheses. Is this bug related to Windows vista? What should I do?

Did you use winrar to decompress? then drag the .map into your maps?

I was using that solo_dangercanyon map. Yes, I did unpack it with Winrargot a readme file and a map file.

Perhaps the map is corrupt. Save the rar to your desktop and extract the map into your maps folder.

Make sure it's a valid HaloCE file.

I'm not sure if you have been or not, but you may want to check if Halo CE has a compatibility mode option...that might help if you haven't been using it, but no promises.
