I've been listening to a ton of Saturate from Breaking Benjamin, I freaking love Sugarcoat and Polyamorous. I can see now that there is no other band like Linkin Park, so I'm limited to their greatness until they release another album, but what are some good alternative metal bands like Breaking Benjamin? I like the screaming parts because it doesn't sound like some high-pitched voiced emo kid screaming into the mic, more like an actual man. So that's the kind I like. :?

Picked up 4 new albums today (had lots of Christmas money, for once):

The Killers - Sawdust (B-Sides and Rarities Album)
Nine Inch Nails - Year Zero (didn't have a hard copy)
The Smashing Pumpkins - Rotten Apples (Greatest Hits album)
Shiny Toy Guns - We Are Pilots (finally found it, and for only $9.99)

MSI only called themselves punk. MSI by far is not punk.

Saul Williams does Poetry, Spoken Word, and Rap. And is signed to the Ninja Tune Label and never did any Punk or Industrial. It may be a misconception that he did after supporting NIN's Campaign for DRM free Music, but he hismelf has never done any Punk or Industrial Music.

I'd definitely say MSI has a lot of punk aspects, but much more Electronica (most of their music is meh, but the two songs I have on there are pretty good [Shut Me Up and Straight to Video]). Nowhere does Saul Williams actually call any of his music Industrial, but his new album has a lot of that in it (probably a result of being produced by Trent Reznor). Maybe going so far to call it punk is a bit extreme, though.

Edit: Got 'A Perfect Circle - Thirteenth Step'. <3 it. Unfortunately, I got it as a gift, but it was used and already opened, so I saw no reason why not to copy it into my iTunes. :)

Yeah, Saul Williams in all of his past records has shown no traces of such. If you listened to his stuff off of his past albums, like the stuff off of Ninja Tune, you'd have a totally different outlook on his work.

As for MSI, Their work never seemed like punk. They tried too hard to do it, and it sounded artificial and fake. Like some kind of stage show trying to prove they were punk. If you want punk, go for stuff from The Casualties, Dead Kennedys, Older stuff by The Exploited, Bad Brains, or The Circle Jerks.

Meh, I'm not much into Punk. Not really my thing. I like a lot of Electronica, Indie, Pop-Rock, maybe a little Experimental (i.e. Radiohead, Sonny Moore, etc).
