helping save a couple scopes as dds dxt1

i have a couple of pretty sick nasty scopes, but it wont let me save them as dds textures, can someone save them for me and post them back as dds textures?? thanks

DXTBmp will convert any bmp file to dds, and any dds fil to bmp. either google it, or search it here.

Blarg pretty much nailed the answer.

DXTBmp should do the trick, just make sure you aren't using a file format it won't recognize.

I am using DXTbmp, but when i save it and inject the texture, it says it must be DXT1 and i set it as that and tried again and it still didnt work.


Could you save them as dxt1??

You save them as the format that HMT tells you.
For anybody still wondering where FTD has gone, here it is.

i DID but it Still said that it was wrong, could you PLEASE save them as DDS DXT1 Textures ??? :( :( :( :( :!: :!: :!:

I HAD the same problem, heres what you do, when you go to save the thing your editing as a DDS texture, a screen should pop up, Then at the bottom of the new screen which just popped up click the arrow and select dxt 3, then inject like normal, and your done,

TIP tho look above the picture in HMT when you select a iamge because it might say something like DXT 1, DXT2/DXT3, A8r8g8b8, and what not... so that what you no to save as..

WHEN it say DXT1/DXT2 save as DXT3

alright, i understand what you did wrong, but hiheyhello even confused me. HMT really screws up with bitmaps.
Lets say you inject a dxt1 image, but it is supposed to be dxt5. It says it failed, and it tells you to inject as dxt1.
If you inject as dxt3, it will tell you to inject as dxt3.

So look at that spot, and it will tell you how to inject it.

I didn't know if I was gonna be yelled at for posting bitmaps, even though i didnt, lol, so I colored out the frag grenade.
People are so anal on the internet... :lol:
