My internet is lagging intermittently causing me to not be able to hear my friends on Live and making the game lag. We still won every game we played though.
Haven't had any problems with my connection lately, but now I'm getting randomly disconnected from private chats and games for no reason, and it's gotten to the point where I can't even play. Ugh.

What game is this? I went back to your previous post and typed PSU in Google, but all I'm getting is Penn State University.

Yup. But the problem I've been getting is my connection in general...my PC keeps loading some pages slow now too.

Here I am, enjoying a game on my laptop... Then it overheats and crashes.
I hate laptops.. I hate them so much. I should have never gotten one. Why couldn't I have stuck with a desktop? Why?
You should really never buy expensive laptops... If you want a powerful computer, get a desktop. If, however, you're constantly moving and can't have a desktop, then is the time to get the powerful one (that is, unless you're worried about it getting stolen, etc)
Other than that, I see no real reason why you should spend all that extra money on a gaming laptop. It's almost an oxymoron.
High end Gaming =/= laptops. Its not just not very suited. thankfully there are many low end games which are spectacular (hello there command and conquer)
Overheating a crashing though? I'd like to know your weather conditions, how you were playing it and how long.
Because crashing from overheating? I've never had that. Not even with my shitty laptopts using them for a whole day doing things way outside their capabilities (3d wise ;p). So I'm thinking you were in hot conditions (hotter than the 32*C summer conditions in Australia), blocking off ventilations and doing very intensive things for prolonged periods... That, or your laptop maker is shitty.
[speaking opposite to be on topic here] I hate my laptop. I regret having one totally. There is no versatility, no gain from having one and I love desktops[/speaking opposite] (note, it wasnt a stab at you JK, its my thoughts on laptops in general

Technically its only me animating though
I had a laptop for a while, and didn't end up liking it. I love desktops. Also my sisters old laptop used to overheat and turn off/crash. I bet you could fry more eggs on that then with a 360 =x.
Now matter how many times i port forward or DMZ, my NAT refuses to remain open, it's pissing me off because my friends back from the marine training and borrowed my friends xbox, but I can't play halo 3 with him due to moderate NAT. No matter what Ports i forward etc it always resets even the DMZ didn't work.

I've forwarded to all those ports, it's not that it wont change its that the settings keep being deleted by the router, like it goes back to it's original settings. I tried DMZ because of that, i designated my xbox's IP and I kept getting constant connection errors in games and within 3 days it erased my settings. I'm not sure what's wrong, I'll probably end up jsut buying a new router.
Where do I change it to static, because right now im sure it's DHCP
