[map] Snowgulch

Post by Philly »

Snowgulch v1.0
A break in the recent trend of my crap mods, here is something quick and functional, made in just under half an hour or so.
I was looking in the HPC downloads section, well before the forum merge, and seeing loads of rubbish snowgulches. Hopefully this one preforms better. :P

Features
  • New ambient sound (wind noises0
New level textures (sky, cliffs, ground and lightmaps..)
New scenery (trees rocks and shrubs)
Animated snow (snow falling from the sky)

Nice job, so far this looks great, no huge black or yellow spots like most snow maps. Just like you sl!p, I was making a snow gulch, but I kinda forgot about it. Lol, I got like 20 unfinished maps, half are probably already made by now. Nice job 10/10 for the effect it is supposed to have. Not something special, just snow. You did it perfectly.

They can't really fix that, the way it works is that the snow tag from a SP map, AotCR I believe, is added into it, and that tag makes it "snow" everywhere.

If it bothers you, think of it as wind blowing snow through the caves.
