probably, but it would take some fiddling to get it to play more than a few seconds at a time. I'm sure it's possible in CE though.

ive played maps in CE where the hogs would play songs when you got into them. kinda like a radio turning on.

as for pc..

the only place i could see inject a custom sound would be in the scenery sound files. but then again like patrick said, thoes are like 5-10 seconds snippets. you MIGHT be able to on a rebuild but i dont think anyone has tried to my knowledge.

but i do know you can only replace sounds with other sounds that match in playing length or what not. <- i think :?

i know that a map called CE Dance was converted. That had custom music in it. you could contact the creator of the map and ask how he/she did that.

my exterminator had music in it...in the secret room. I just have to say: Thanks for testing my map everyone >_>

anywho. Adding sound may be possible for pc, but in CE it requires either a script to play a sound tag...or some good ol bsp editing.

PM = Private Message

I can send you the map that shows you the music in action, and it is a fun map. then you can look at it in a modding application and see how they did it.

Theres a much more simple way of doing this.
Step 1. Lower volume of Halo PC
Step 2. Turn on windoze media player. Itoonz.
Step 3. Play music.
Step 4. Enjoy.

wisltepig idk if you got the message but here it is for all. i did not convert this i don't want to be blamed for not giving credit. it was either Tyler, Shadow, Paul, or Sword or someone else i forgot about, sorry if i forgot the name.

this is a ppf file and for those that don't know how those work you have to get PPF Master, then back up your copy of bloodgulch map. then you can select one of them as the target and then this file as the patch. if you do this on mac then you must deselect the switch labeled "validation" or it will not work right.

also you have to think about the sound effects. and some people i know personally have really crappy computers and cannot run two things at once like that.

If you do it the scripts way, and modify widgets, I'm pretty sure you could have a song menu within the pause menu....

i will say this much, adding music to a map is a hit or miss thing.

example:
you add a rap song to anything and i hate it right off the bat.

everyone has their own personal music choices and forcing people to listen to what you like ends up going bad in the long run. ive done web design on and off for about 8 years now or so. one thing that is a total waste of time is adding a jukebox to a website. having it there for people to listen to is useless cause every user is already on their winamp or player of choice. look at it like this.. which would you rather have.. the radio or your ipod? tracks chosen for you vs. what you want on demand.

if this mod is for personal use and growth of skill in modding then go for it. awesome idea. but offering it to people can backlash on you for tracks chosen for people to listen to.

just be forward..

Pepsi often has the final word on these sorts of things, so it would be wise to believe him. :P

Getting any sort of custom music in PC is hard, and as Pepsi said, not very rewarding.
