Ok, It all originates from one problem, I want to put a creepy ambience into bloodgulch. So I go to sidewinder to find it has 6 loops instead of 4. When I only put 4 of them in, it sounded horrible. So I went to merge some of them with CoolEdit. Turns out I cant open them with Cool or WMplayer. So I need a codec.
Basically, 2 questions.
1>How do I override the number of loops a map is to have?
2>Where do I get this codec I cant find?
Couple sound questions

well, what file format is the audio?
.wav or .ogg?
if it's .wav, it should play fine win WMP. if it's .ogg. you need a codec.
