[ Mod ] Death Island **Update**
Some of you know I was releasing this, like the wonderful people who have helped me with this mod. Now, this isn't my first mod, but it is my first released mod. This mod takes place on Death Island and includes the following BIG changes (I won't be listing the other stuff, you'll find it out when you play it.)
Major Changes:
New Master Chief Biped
Pelican
Covenant Dropship
Wraith
Lifepod
New Scenery
Minor Changes:
New Assault Rifle Animation, Similar to Halo 3
New Sniper rifle animation
New Pistol animation
Minor Tweaks to all vehicles
Changed all Environment Shaders to "high" for awesome visuals.
New Layout for both bases.
New ladder (not a model, just spakedited. look for yourself when you download)
New HUD Messages: "Health Restored, Active Camofluage Activated" etc etc.
User Friendly Menus when you press Esc.

- Lifepod
- Walkways, platforms, more scenery, kinda like the silent cartographer
- New Threshhold, and Basis textures
- Missle Launcher
- Minor tweaks to ALL vehicles
- Minor tweaks to ALL weapons
- Added original assault rifle model, but kept new animation.
- Added original flamethrower model, but made new skin.
- Enhanced Shader Environment Quality
- Fixed Covenant Dropship view while driving
- More you can find out for yourself.
Bugs:
- Resetting map will cause all new vehicles to go into one big orgy somewhere
- New platforms overlap shaders (look for yourself)

6.5/10.
Lacking:
No new reskins, which are a + in a mod.
The only models in there are borrowed, which makes it less unique.
It's been done hundreds of times before.
The assault rifle animation is okay, but the model is horrid. (because it was made by PM7, no offense guys.)
On the bright side:
Drivable dropship. (YAY) Because its hard to get a dropship drivable. Good job.
Jahrain's biped.

I've added a couple more screenshots and listed more changes. Yes, I know there aren't any reskins, I'm horrible at skinning, and good god dont even start with the modelling.
Anyways, Yes, i know it's been done lots of times before, but this was probaly the most i've pmi'ed at once before. And I might put the original assault rifle model on from the original map. But keep the animation.
Any suggestions are nice too.

im going to give you a few ideas on how to make this map very unique and worth a download. these are somethings i couldnt do for redux cause of server side issues and would love for someone to use them in a stand alone map like this.
duplicate the pelican and dropship. the ones you duplicate make them scenery. go into sparkedit and make 5 of them for each. set them far out the map so you cant see them from a base hardly. go into hmt and make these "scenery vehicles" active scenery. these tuts on how to do this. once you do that edit the projectile you sacrificed for the effect and make the duration of it a bigass number so the vehicle will fly for the duration of the entire length of the map when it flys across. take the cryoglass meta in bitmaps and put it over the sky.sky. this will null out the blue sky and make it night. you will see the stars and the cryoglass has a faint blue so it looks like a "milkyway" galaxy effect. then go to the sky tag in hmt. change the sky tags numbers to this..

make the numbers that are "10" in that to like 80. the higer you go the brighter, the lower the darker. youll see when doing and testing it. then go into hht and null out the sun. go back into hmt and go to the light branch. find the beacons. check the dynamic check spot and change the radius modifier from "1" i think to like 3 or 4. you thank me for that effect in the sky setting i gave you. lastly go reskin these vehicles. if you want you can jack mine from redux, i dont mind, as long as it takes away the stock look of this map.
now..
if your froggy and want to leap at this then i highly suggest you redo the pmi work on this map again but this time add the rain and bugs from 343 guilty spark. thoes rain/bugs with the sky settings i gave you would make this own.
thats my take on it. honestly right now it is a 4-5/10 cause of the PMI work involved but it doesnt just jump and stand out. i gave you a ton of hints and ideas if you choose to use them. also.. edit the bitmaps for the ring, basis and threshold. it will look out of place if you dont. and for a kicker add a animated sky thing like i posted in the tuts section.

Hmm...thank's for the hints and suggestions, pepsi.
I only have one concern...if i do plan on putting the rain/bugs from 343...i'd lose all of my changes (i have the pmi folder i did when i rebuilt with the new stuff)
I may plan on doing a total reskin, thanks for letting me know i can use your bitmaps...but i dont think i'll have too.
the scenery vehicles....i'm not a total fan of it. If i could somehow get them to fly around in circles around the map...i'd do it right away.
