I doubt that only becauses of TPM chip...Unless of couse his PC had the same specs as a mac and has said chip....Or for some strange reason, mac got rid of the trusted platform module in their new macs and removed its check with Leopard...Which sounds unlikley reallyHPDarkness1 wrote:My friend as a Mac and bought Leopard. He installed it on his Intel PC and said it runs pretty smooth. The only hard part was getting drivers to work. I may try it out to see if it runs on my Intel.
I could turn around and say something worse, but I'm not going to just start accusing

To answer your question, leopard doesn't work on AMD processors just yet. Tiger does however.

I am sad. There's like NO place on the internet where one can get a eVGA nVidia 7950GT KO Superclocked.
If I could find a place (Went through Google Checkout and looked through a bunch of pages) that sells it, I'd probably buy another, and then an SLI-capable motherboard.

Oh... I meant on Intel-based PCs, forgot about AMD (my PC is intel, so I kind of forget there is such a thing as AMDScottyGEE wrote:serious?
My mind must have been corrupted by Tiger on my laptop after my brother got mac'd then >_>

So yeah, I have no idea if Leopard would work on an AMD, or when it would if it doesn't. Seeing how Leopard is either PPC or Intel based at the moment, it'd be safe to assume it's not compatible at the moment. I really have no idea.
Super, funny you say that, I hated OS 8.6, but loved OS 10..
To answer your question though, OS 8.6 and 9 were all PPC based operating systems, so they won't run on intel processors. Same with the first few versions of OS 10.
