Removing the crane on Headlong

Post by Kewlkyle64 »

So I've succesfully removed the hanging plates and beams from Headlong, but now I want to remove the crane. Any ideas how?

Yea, it is BSP scenery. Open Headlong in the BSP Scenery editor, find the chunk that says 'sky_crane' or something similar, and set the Z coordinates to -9999999.

You can just select it and move it in Scenery mover.

Or in Entity you can find the coords and change them manually.

In Entity open the sbsp tag, click meta editor, Then click tools, show, show invisables.

About 3/4 down you will see Bsp Scenery Placement.
It will tell you the name under SID, just find the crane, and lower the Z coord.

You could also null the shaders and make them disappear. They'll be there, but you can't see them if you do this.

I say this is the best method to use, I did this to remove railings and plants from different maps.

You may want to remove the shadows of the crane as well, I'll get the name of the bitmap a little later today.
