Apophysis!

Apophysis is a free ware application used to make fractal art. Apophysis is COMPLETELY based on math and geometry and most importantly VARIABLES. Fractal art is a geometric shape that often mirrors or infinetly copies its self to make a image, like a triangle multiplying its self an infinite number of times to make a every detailed snowflake. So if you were to zoom into a fractal you would still see extreme detail in it because it infinetly has its detail structure. Fractal is based on 3d models because of polygons and that sort of stuff, I dont want to get to get into too much detail so go Here for more details.

OMFG i hate apophysis!!!

the gamma correction and diffuse lighting are messed up, as well as the features. the whole program is limited if you don't know the correct formulas. I prefer Ultra Fractal. it gets the job done in a better, more proficient way.

If you like that then you should check out electric sheep. It is a screen saver that combines fractals and genetics. You can add to the gen pool with fractals made using apophysis as well.

Apophysis is awsome actualy and its not limated because you need to know some math and about geometry to make things that look good.

don't make assumptions. who ever said i don't know how to use it properly? i didnt even imply it.

i can use it just as well as the next guy or girl can, the fact still remains, i can't get the exact result desired from Apophysis than i can with UF.

I would mess with it in Photoshop a bit to get rid of the sharpness of some bits of the fractal, but meh.

Apophysis is one of the few programs I'd actually recommend just diving in head first and messing with every value/position possible until you learn what does what. You'll get a much more complex and awesome looking fractal by doing that in no time.

Also, use Imageshack so you don't get that watermark.
