Basic CE modding...

Post by JK-47 »

I want to start out on basic CE modding... But I'm pretty lost. I've been looking for tutorials for just modding, but keep getting results for making maps. Could anyone point me in the right direction for learning some of the basics?

Easy. Download tags and and import in Sapien (which I am still figuring my way through)

AI is what I want to get into... But my issue is, I don't know how to get scenarios out of a map like Bloodgulch so I can open them in Sapien.

what i do is use a program called HEK+, and extract the scenario. make sur to extract it to its proper location in your tags folder. Also, if I were you, I would download a more complete tag set, because a lot of the normal things aren't included.

Lol, good advice.

and for the bipeds and actor variants open up a SP map in HEK+ and I suggest extracting all tags so you're not missing anything.
