I am quite trustworthy, and will not leak anything at all. I could say that I will be able to beta test on the weekends because of my schoolwork, so I have a narrow frame of time that I can beta test, but will make the most of the time I have to beta test.

man o' man did i get some serious work on this done tonight. took me 4 hours but i got gephy looking great imo. im not a fan of red either but hey.. it works so well. also figured out what to do to boarding action since it is a rather dull map to say the least...

meh.. on with what i got done..

first off i finally got a working logo going. i didnt know how i wanted to do it but i think the nice and simple approach came off well. it looks pretty well blended in so im happy with it. i also went and updated the credits to the game of course via hex edit.

on BA i went ahead and re-skinned the whole outside of the ship adding a new look to it. the map is now more bright and can be easily navigated now looking around. i also redid the galaxy (even thoe you cant see it) by updating the stars to better match the galaxy .dds.

the first pepness it was fun. the finale it was awesome. now in my opinion its stunning. i went with red cause theres not alot of red in halo. think about it. there isnt. i cant even think of where to begin on what i did here. the sky, the textures, the lighting.. all of it was redone to better improve a well loved map from the finale. yes, the floors are transparent. its like walking on glass. one could argue its wallhacking except what are you hacking? the fog? i mean seriously?...lol.

Gephy has a new inovative and original style, hell style like you told me, and i agree with you, it's like hell, just miss the flames under the map xD

Absolutly stunning. I couldn't agree more with everyone in this thread and you have such a unique style, I cannot wait to download this and play, what looks like, a brand new halo MP.

so im letting bcnipod beta this cause he does have a different card then i and hes on a mac so its like he will be the offical mac support for this project. i was getting the files needed to give to him and went to make a .ppf patch of the bitmaps and couldnt help but laugh when i seen this..

thats why this project will be released in .map form and not .ppf. theres way to many differances between stock and this to have a chance to go wrong.

anywho..

its about time to start phase 2 of this project.

i think hes mad i finally announced in public what some new privately that i was going to do campaign also. he has a campaign mod going also so he may see it as a threat and/or competition..

if that is true then thats really sad tbh and childish. but then again saying something "sucks" can be "easily" done fits the situation so i dunno..

full steam ahead and knocked out the rest of the multiplayer maps. right now there also being beta tested on a mac by bcnipod on his settings and card.

as for the rest...

ratrace:
i redid all the lightmaps and switched a few things. gave the map a more of a "warm" feeling. touched up some lighting and think its done.

prisoner:
took the lighting down alot considering its practically indoors and gave it more of a darker feel like a actual prison. alot of the textures used here were from the original finale so i didnt do to much on that end.

longest:
changed from the finale...? the walls and stars. thats about it. this map is so small with hardly nothing to work with room wise i just left well enough alone

infinity:
too damn much. thats all im saying on that end. and yes i know the orange and blue in the skys are there and i left it cause they look good together like that. the colors play off each other make each one stand out.

hangem' high:
new textures in some places and edited the map to give more of a "rust/worn" feel to the map. i never really liked this map blueish like it was so now i am happy with it.

so now im moving on to campaign. ive told others and people at halopc.net about this a few days back but the time has finally come to leave the multiplayer maps alone. there are a few bitmaps i need to fix and such along with adding the new models and animations into all the maps. right now im looking at a release date of this friday hopefully so well see.

hope you guys like how the multi maps look and ill keep you posted on campaign.

Those ground textures are horrible but everything else is nice.
