Exactly. As said by Bungie people, Marathon starts with someone on half of a ship, torn apart, in a cryochamber, in the year 2753. They are in Green armor. Do the math, numbknuts.OOOOOR MC wakes up and marathon starts?

I wish my friend's Playstation could do that.Yamagushi wrote:I can honestly see why Playstation went on wikipedia and dissed halo 3 the way they did...
What...?
It's something called storyline and background information. It could be Cortana's rampancy (I don't know if that plays a real role in H3...just speculating here)Yamagushi wrote:They added all those little cutscenes of cortana twice or so a level telling you something utterly pointless and irrelevant, I am your energy I am ur power.... its like ok... u interrupted my game for that... also the whole times shes goin on like she has a ton of deep dark secrets and shes a lier and everything then never elaborates what she lied about or what the hell she was talking about...
No what im saying is it had nothing to do with the storyline or background... it was utterly pointless..
It's a little thing called rising plot action leading to a climax.Yamagushi wrote:There was basically no story until the 7th level...
It wasnt a rising plot leading to a climax it was nothing leading to a few good levels...
That's a bad thing?Yamagushi wrote:You dont have 1 damn boss the whole game.... Unless u count the librarian....ha..
Umm..... Yes?
Why wouldn't you stop something that could kill you?Yamagushi wrote:As for them being so far from earth, what the hell was the point of stopping the first ring in halo 1 then, if it doesn't set the others off and its so far from earth it would have gone completely unnoticed.

No, they said when one's detonation is interrupted they go into a standby that can be activated from the Ark.Yamagushi wrote:2) Didnt they state that if one ring goes off they all do.....?
I know that.... i never said they didnt say that and this is the second response saying this same thing..
Don't be.

Did anyone else notice there are terminals in halo 3 that display logs? You get an achievment for finding them all.The plot is primarily revealed through various computer interfaces called terminals, which relay crew logs, maintenance documents and stories

why the hell is everyone hating on this game? I thought that it was amazing, myself. Agreed, there is not much of a story until nearing the end, but it's still there. It's just not related to the overall plot. And since when has Halo had a boss to kill? Someone is disappointed about no boss? DId halo CE have a boss? Halo 2 had tarturus...lol.. if you considered him a boss. and in halo 3, you got that monitor. So, I can't see why you wouldve expected there to be a boss. And those cortana interrupting gameplay things weren't so bad. I especially liked the one where she said something like, "oh, you like games too?" Which refers back to the books when Halsey met John for the first time.
The game is just amazing.

Im not disagreeing with u, in halo 3 they set the ring off i originally stated wouldnt that have been a problem as thats why u stopped it in 1?343GuiltySparkIVIX wrote:Go back to Halo 1 and listen to the effective distance of ONE HaloYamagushi wrote:

You are indeed correct, Yamagushi. In Halo 3 though, I'm pretty sure the activation of Installation 04 would have not set off the other installations.Technically, that installation only has a maximum effective radius of 25,000 light years, but the pulse would trigger other installations as well, effectively killing all life in the galaxy.

First of all, you didn't quote me and it screwed up.

You said Playstation edited the Wikipedia article. Sony did. Playstation is a brand.Yamagushi wrote:I wish my friend's Playstation could do that.

That doesn't change the fact that it was a buildup.Yamagushi wrote:It's a little thing called rising plot action leading to a climax.

Frankly, I rather disliked the "boss" battles in Halo 2. It made it feel pretty corny.Yamagushi wrote:That's a bad thing?
Umm..... Yes?
The key word is YOU. The Chief would die, as would any other UNSC forces. At the time, the Chief didn't know how Halo works, so imagine if you were on a station, and you heard that it'll kill everything in a certain radius. You HAPPEN TO BE in the radius, so you'd say "Oh shit, let's turn this fucker off."Yamagushi wrote:Why wouldn't you stop something that could kill you?
