My friend and I just bought the limited edition version of Halo 3! Man, I'm so freaking excited.
I got it at 2:40 PM, two hours it was being sold.
All the rumors about ZOMFG LINES are NOT true. Target had plenty in stock.

Make sure that the disk isn't scratched, 1/4 of the limited edition cd's had scratches I heard.[C]Paul95 wrote:My friend and I just bought the limited edition version of Halo 3! Man, I'm so freaking excited.

lol kool, Thats good that it wasn't scratched because I would be pissed if I had to wait for Microsoft to send another disk because their cases got fucked up[C]Paul95 wrote:It wasn't. We checked. The beastiary is awesome.

I'm happy that me and my brother have stuff to sell to save up to buy a xbox premium and halo 3 regular set i don't see the big deal about legendary set is.
Also my dad might be buying a HD tv and getting a free 360 if so i just might buy the halo 3 legendary set if i get a good enough reason.

Yeah same here. And even after that, I think i've only played ~24 hours of Halo 2 before it came out for PC. That was at LAN parties at friends houses; i've never owned a console in my life.shadowkhas wrote:Me too. I'll be happy to play it whenever I get to it...I first played Halo 2 maybe one year after it came out and I lived.Kirk wrote:And yeah, i'm happy that I resisted the Halo 3 craze.
And that can't happen with Halo 3 because I don't have any friends. EDIT: Reminder: I just moved to a new town ;p
I'm not necissarily saying I wouldn't mind playing Halo 3, I'm sure it's fun, but it's just a video game and people have to realize that. From what i've seen, it looks cool, but it's nothing revolutionary. Now, if it was a complete virtual reality where you control your character with your real world movements (not some lame Wii shit) and it's good, then man baby i'd buy a 360 yesterday with money I don't have (i.e., rob the store/friend)

wii's are realy a peace of *** like he said i own one worst way to waste your money is buying a Nintendo wii.Kirk wrote:Yeah same here. Well, three awesome things happened in just one day.
1. To start off...I got Halo 3. A few friends and myself camped outside of Gamestop for 6 hours and were the first people in line waiting for it. We had a blast. We convinced our skipper to loan us his generator, and we used that to power a tv and an xbox. We played Halo and Halo 2 the whole time with everyone else sitting in line. I was the first one in and grabbed my legendary edition. It was great.
2. The Marine band stopped by today. For band class a small brass group called Semper Five came by and gave us a demonstration. The Trombone player was the best I've seen. Crazy inhuman stuff. Then later, the entire band was playing at a locale theater for free, so we stopped by and watched a concert. Greatest....Band...Ever...
3. Tonight was a night I've been waiting for almost as much as Halo 3. Tonight, we elected the ships boatswain. Proud to say I am now a Petty Officer. The crew and the officers all voted for me as Boatswain. I'm a happy person.
Life is good...That was one of the best days ever.
