need help with skinning

ive started skinning maps recently and i was able to do a bunch of skin mods on all my maps, then all of a sudden, whenever i try to open a bitmap tag in dot halo or any other program, it says that it cant find the mainmenu.map and to check if its in the right directory! i havent changed the directory or anything and it was working fine yesterday. can someone shed some light on how i can fix this problem pls?

i dont remember off hand but there should be an option to set map paths just make sure its right

We can read the text fine without any modifiers...

Mainmenu.map is not in the same folder as the map you are editing. Just put all the maps including single_player_shared.map, shared.map, and mainmenu.map in one folder so you won't get this problem.

i dont know how, i cant even find mainmenu.map anymore. its really weird. and i cant ftp my xbox to get it. i never had this problem before

Well there lies your problem. You need mainmenu.map to edit certain bitmaps. Better get off your disc...

this is freakin bull!!! i managed to find the mainmenu.map and shared.map and put them in the right folder, but now all the bitmaps come up as all black!
