Armour Permutations Thread
From Tural's link...here
Is that a cow medal in the top right? Rofl.
The Mark V helmet is nice. I like it for some reason.
EDIT: What about this image?
Notice the yellow guy in the bottom right with a new chest piece and helmet...I think. Looks like a new helmet to me...but I know its a new chest piece.

Listen to Protest the Hero.
It's the CQB helmet and chest plate. It is not new.Pyroman wrote:EDIT: What about this image?

I thought that there where 10 different permutations that had their own Helmet, Chest Plate and Shoulder pads. Also, the "regulator" chest plate is actually the Mark V Chest plate. Also, the ones on the list are only the ones we've seen up until now. I'm pretty sure the Elite will have the same amount of permutations as the Spartans (10).

My numbers are correct.
The chest piece labeled "Regulator" is part of the Regulator set, not part of the Mark V set. Without going into detail, I can confirm this. I'm sure anyone such as Veegie, Darco, Gametag, etc. could verify this as well.
Elites have 5 pieces of each (5 head, 5 shoulder, 5 chest), or so I am told.

Well, show us some proof. To me, it looks exactly like the Mark V chest plate.Tural wrote:My numbers are correct.

It isn't permitted on this site. Either way, I'm not trying to prove anything to you. If you choose to reject it, go right ahead. I'm telling you that I have evidence to suggest it is part of the Regulator set. I don't care if you believe me or not.Hotrod wrote:Well, show us some proof. Your argument is that it looks similar, my argument is that it the mesh is part of the same set.
Sorry, I didn't know that it would be against the rules to show us proof. I understand that you can't show us, so until the game comes out, I'll believe that it is the Mark V chest plate.Tural wrote:It isn't permitted on this site. If you're going to be stubborn, I'll just go right ahead and say it.
Regulator meshes were in the Beta. That chest piece was part of the set that is Regulator. I have seen the model myself, as have several others who were part of an application testing team. If it is no longer part of that set, then so be it. However, factual evidence, at the current time, says that it is. You base your argument on what you think looks similar, I base mine on what is factual. That chest piece was part of the same model as the Regulator helmet and shoulder plates in the Beta map files.
Happy now?
Edit: I feel I should clarify my stance:
Yes, it looks a lot like the Mark V armor. However, the models in the Beta say otherwise. I'm not saying that it's not meant to be Mark V, I'm simply pointing out that, as it stands right now, the only evidence that exists suggests that it is part of the Regulator set. I grouped it with that because of the models supporting it. I did not label any set that was not factually linked and have sufficient evidence supporting it. There is no evidence that states it is the Mark V chest, so I refuse to call it as such.

Hm that would be pretty interesting, maybe bring some real halo 1 feelings back into the halo series? Cause personally I liked the halo 1 campaign much more then halo 2's it was more suspenseful for me.CabooseJr wrote:That would be amusing if you played the Mark IV you get the halo 1 HUD.

"A hero needs not to speak, for when he is gone, the world will speak for him" - My favorite quote.
or if you get the regulator your screen is black other than two circlesCabooseJr wrote:That would be amusing if you played the Mark IV you get the halo 1 HUD.

When I first saw it, I though stormtrooper, but then my friend said it looked like Killzone too.Pyroman wrote:Just noticed that the Regulator helmet looks like the Killzone guys. Pretty similar actually...
