I thought this came out amazing, what do you think?

give it a border, make the text black and make it an overlay then go to blending options and give it a black outer glow and then set the glow to overlay and lower the opacity to about 60-70 and then it would be ok.

No glow in this case. Brushing is better than blending options in this case. I'm referring to the awful text anyway. The actual image on the other hand is a nice step up from what you've been releasing. The colors go well and all, and for once I actually feel you left some room for more smudging. On top of that, a few water particles and effects would really add some depth. I would also try and add a light source and reflection. For someone just starting out, these are pretty advanced steps to take, but I say you go for it and see what you can do with this sig. Has a lot of potential.
