Ew, I hate candy and sweet things. I can't drink a can and a half of soda without getting sick. The only drink I'm able to handle is Monster energy drinks and other energy drinks (I get sick from those, as well sometimes).
Ever since I stopped eating junk food, I've developed a very low tolerance for it.

One does not simply walk out of Iraq. But seriously, in LOTR, they didn't have an exit strategy; why should we need one?

people who use mods on xbl and refuse to call it cheating.

I was playing Team Swat a little while ago.
There was a modder in the game and had these mods:

BR shoots wraith mortars.
Unlimited ammo
AA
All weapons were fully auto
and the grenade throwing was like halo 1 (not to mention the grenades force being multiplied by like, 234534 kagillion...)

Unfortunately I lagged out of the game because this guy had the mods apply to everyone playing...

For once I have a Rant: What happened to just News?

Why do I have to buy two newspapers (One Liberal, One Conservative) to be a critical reader instead of a brainwashed one?

If ya live in the states try this Take two of the same articles from rival papers of different opinion and analyze the heck out of it. Just Compare the words used, the pictures, everything.

Oh I dunno, the announcer for the UFC is pretty boring... I mean, it takes about 10 seconds to announce EVERY fighter.

Edit: And by 'announcing every fighter' I mean he just says their names really slowly.

People that post happy things in the rant thread and people that post sad things in the happy thread...Make me happy ;p Nah, its kinda annoying, if I want to see hate I WANT BURNING HATRED FILLED WITH PASSION BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS! This rant isn't a personal attack at the person who just posted it however I guess it fits in with all the other people who have posted it too, but the "halomods has died/sucked/gone to hell/been ruined/been infested with noobs/chicken flavour/isn't fun any more/been filled with flamers is just getting so repetitive. It happens so often and the points are usually the same.
No, halomods isn't the same pretty picture that you imagine your first (or "golden") days were to be, so that doesn't necessarily class it in the categories that I listed above. Yes its different, yes some things aren't as kool as they used to be. At least I try to have fun throughout it despite any changes that have been done.

But then the question must be asked: So what? What are you going to do about it? Just sit back, keep whining in hope that all the people who just started modding, are having fun, will just read your post and disapear? No, I think it starts a vicious cycle, you're essentially telling other users who are newer than you are that they are crap, that they are annoying, that you don't want them. That's gonna make them treat you real nicely in return

And then when they later become better at modding, they are probably going to annoy the littler ones like you did because they are now in that position where they can do what you so mercilessly did to them all those months/years ago as an act of venting or just because now they can.

Why not instead of whining, you do something about it? Sure you could say "But ScottyGEE! I am no staff member, I cannot do what you do because I don't have these super powers!". Well I got an answer! PM or post it anyway. If you're wanting to make changes for the better, I'm sure any staff member will notice it and will probably do some kind of sticking/ front page news-ing or whatever else is needed for you so it gets that attention it needs to get going. Not being a staff member didn't stop me when making the skinning competitions, so why should it stop you from making changes for the better in the areas that you don't think is the best?

But of course, I realise that its just so much more easier to complain, to whinge, to moan, to whine, than to do something. and who knows? Maybe with a whole lot of whining some things will change, but that doesn't stop it from being annoying.

I'd have to say that is one of the most compelling typed things I have read on the internet, I believe scotty gee deserves a clap for that

Your exactly right mr. GEE. HaloMods has changed, but everything does at some point, No matter what though. HaloMods to alot of people is one of the only websites for Halo modding that does it the real way. And thats modding without cheating. That's why no matter what change, I will still always respect this website, and the staff and good community, that keep it running and on its feet. Amen.

Now that just sounds kind of Orwellian to me...making a holiday for reciting the preamble to the Constitution at the same time, like a bunch of trained machines? How about remembering to recite it and what it stands for the rest of the year?
