Comcast must have raised the up speed recently, I could have sworn that the max was around 768 kb last time I checked.

Yes but I'm sure host you need to both download and upload information?

Also, Doesn't higher download mean faster downloads, on the internet.

My upload speed to Sweden was better than my upload speed to the closest server. That completely makes sense.

Higher download does mean faster downloads. You need to upload a lot of data and download a lot of data to host, upload is usually the lower speed, unless you have a symmetrical connection.

Yeah, upload is the main thing you'd want for hosting, but a fair download speed helps also.
