My second sig

Post by Modtrocity »

Note: If you're going to post, please don't just say, "it sucks," or "I've seen better," atleast give me some tips for improving or a tut or something. /note

Well, I've been using photoshop for a few years now, but never really for signature making (not this style anyways).

So here's my second (I won't bother putting up my first, it was junk...):

Rate it, constructively critisize it, whatever... :)

I was thinking... maybe making the text smaller and putting it in the corner or somehting.

That border doesn't quite fit the image, and the text is not good.

Other than that, it's a little dark, but I like it.

Yeah what Danke said, oh and I posted a link to the signature with less file size 39 KB to be exact in the Tech Questions and Problems section. ;D

Basically the "Techy" border doesn't fit the "non-techy" background? I see what you mean. What would you suggest for the text?

Thanks Grunt ^_^

I like colors.
That's why I decided against the word "bad".

Honestly though, does it look bad?

No, it's not so much bad as it is just odd. It's like a nuclear ridden camouflage.

I thought it looked more like the intestines of someone who ate every kind of apple in a grocery store.

But yeah, the border doesn't fit the style and the text is nearly invisible. And if the text weren't invisible, it'd be a distraction for the rest of the image if it were in the middle like that.

In my opinion you should get rid of the border.
For the text, try making it smaller and moving it out of it's central position.
OR you could try making the text have the same kind of 'look' as the rest of the sig.. If you know what I mean.

I tried to sort of make the text "embedded" so it wasn't like just "there."

I guess I need to work on that..
