They choose to do it. That's like saying it's not cool to make fun of the people who got busted for the H3E thing, even though it was entirely their choice.

While this may be true, some people just can't help themselves... For people who actually do it because of emotional problems (rather than attention), it's kind of a habit.
It was more of a request than a demand, though. I didn't really expect anyone to really stop, but oh well.

Yeah, I agree with you JK-47. Except I still probably wouldn't listen to it, its not my type of 'music'. It really pisses me off going to school today and hearing all the kids using stupid ass slang and acting thug. So fucking stupid. A lot of the kids at my school are closed minded and they think that raps totally bomb, and when they ask me what I listen to (they usually expect country/classical.......) and I tell them metal they freak out. They think its all screaming, pointless clash of instruments, etc. Fucking tards. I'm open to all kinds of music, if I don't like it, it's for a reason and not because I just do cause it's not in or whatever.

I know exactly what you're saying Dissolution. I hate how hardcore rap fans talk, it's just the most ridiculous thing... And the thing I hate the most is when they are talking during class, and the teacher tells them to stop, and they go "I diint say nu'in!" in a whiny voice.... And there's just too many people out there that are so hooked on one genre that they don't even think to give others a try. They listen to like 2 songs per genre, and generalize the whole thing.
And, there's going to be asshole fans for every band, that's just inevitable.
