Damn man, seems like every since you became staff member you've been stacking up on the emblems. Did anyone else get it, I'm sure some others deserve it. Shalted, etc.

Yeah I noticed Shalted did get it before, forgot to edit my post.

and when I was staff nothing changed, if you haven't noticed, more emblems are being handed out more often, czars are more active.

Yeah no point in keeping a list anymore, its really pointless. But the point is, its definitely for having highly ranked Serenity patches in the repository under your forum name.

You are correct sir, two completely different things...There are some emblems that anyone can achieve if they try, and there are some that they can't...For the most part, the chevron's set this apart...If an emblem has chevrons, and you can figure out what it's for, you can go, and in theory, obtain it...If an emblem doesn't have chevrons, you may or may not be able to obtain it by trying...Some emblems are there to recognize someone for doing something, that the average person just can't obtain no matter what they do...

For instance, if there was an emblem for being Iron_Forge, called "It's good to be king"...You probably could never obtain it, no matter how hard you tried...There is no chevrons for you to work up...You'll just never be king, and it's best you accept it...

That being said, I'm guessing there's qualitative and quantitative emblems...It will always be easier to earn a quantitative emblem than a qualitative one...For instance, making "1,000 posts" is quantitative, fixed and set on a value, and anyone can get it by going on a posting rampage...(To my knowledge, there is no emblem for post count, I wouldn't recommend a posting rampage)...Now, an emblem for making "alot of good posts", qualitative, completely up to a czar's discretion...It's probably going to be harder to obtain...

As for giving out an emblem wildly to everyone, I've always said the more people with an emblem, the less meaning it has...But by the same token, assuming the arrow emblem is for voting on the repository, this emblem really has no meaning to begin with...It's just a fun emblem, that anyone can earn as a "thanks for voting"...It doesn't make it less cool because other people voted too...There should always be fun emblems that anyone who wants an emblem can go and obtain...
