[MAP] Alumina Beta... First Mod

Ok so a few people that are my beta testers have been waiting a week fo r the beta and i think its time i finally released it. i would also like to know what you guys think of the theme. nothing extravagant has been done yet i just dont want this to for-say " Rip off someone elses mod". if al is good and its not hated beyond all content then ill finish it up and submit to AI revision 2. or Scotty Gee's contest.

:shock: even if this is a beta, i will look formard to see every version after. This map looks great. 9/10 (because its a beta :wink: )

just i note. i did not photoshop the water reflection. i got 2 mesages of that. lol. but its cuz i play it in high res "HD".

Fuzy did great with this we had some fun on it awhile ago. I want to release mine but its far from done.

ya ima put umbral in the credits for doing testing with me. this map really isnt a beta it just doesnt have some of the extra things im working on right now.. btw its 69% upload


EDIT: apparently i have a playskool router cuz my upload is slowing down.

This looks awsome. I'd say just add AI and i'll happily d/l it. Hell, I'd even download it when it's uploaded!
Ah fudge, I can't get my pic to work. I need to llearn more BBCode. Eithier that or figure out a way to enable HTML.
HTML is disabled on this board. It's simple to add a picture. Just put [img]UrlGoesHere[/img].

AI including overhead banshees
Remodled weapons
minor skins

i forgot to mension that there is active scenery on the mao "4 damaged banshees" :wink:

ya team spwans are a little tedius to get done so that wont be the most fun ever but i gotta do it.

if you test this map your welcome to give me feedback. i would like to know if you find any glitches


there is 1 glitch but you almost never do it. it is also in the single player level.

have an overshield and weild rockets and a sniper. jump down off of the ledge by BR spwan and land on the right edge of the rock. as soon as you try to move your killed byt the guardians... lol :lol:

Well, I have school, so I will have to test when I get home. However I would like to know are invisible walls fixed?

Also, you are lucky that you did the conversion on beavercreek. Because Pyroman has already mapped out all the defensive and offensive spawns for you. All you have to do is pick a spawn for blue base and pick a spot for red base, then plug them in.

CTF Respawns :

0 - Defensive
1 - Defensive
2 - Offensive
3 - Offensive
4 - Offensive
5 - Offensive
6 - Defensive
7 - Defensive
8 - Defensive
9 - Offensive
10 - Defensive
11 - Defensive

Initial Spawns :

0 - Offensive
1 - Offensive
2 - Offensive
3 - Defensive
4 - Defensive
5 - Defensive
6 - Offensive
7 - Offensive


Hope that helps! Now, I have computer applications today, so I will be able to check halomods, just not post. See you guys about 12:00!

Wow this is really nice. I can't say I'm a real big fan of the theme you choose for this BSP specifically, but that dosen't really matter, really good job.

yes i am kinda picky about modding. i like things to be perfect. so i spen about a month on this getting arounf FP problems and change team problems and when i finaaly fixed those the res was easy

and a note. there were no need for invisible walls on the map. the entrance and exit have a shield over them so you cant escape.

but for those who want to escape... i left a small invisible hole at the top of the red base shields. just rocket bouce and crouch and ull get in the hole then walk forward and your out. but there is no way back in. :wink:


i picked beaver creek not only because the spwans are already mapped but because it has a simmalr size to this map and had good weapon placement
