I'm sorry to be rather harsh, but perhaps read what your question is asking.
Answer me these questions 3:
Have you tested this yourself?
Have you searched both here and in tutorials for results?
Have you exhausted all other options before posting?
I'm sorry if I'm assuming too much here, but I'm very sure the answer to all of those is no. What you are asking is "do shader swaps work?"
The thing is, is that shader swaps take a maximum of 5 minutes to test. Why didn't you just test to see if the water shader worked when applied to the containment gate?
It probably took you the same amount of time to type up and post this thread to check to see if it worked.
I being rather kind in this situation...To answer your question, in my one test, no, the water_static.shad does not work when applied to any old surface....HOWEVER, there are many water shaders that do work. Such as coagulation's or cyclotron's.
Don't take my word for it...After all, you could have just tested this yourself. Please refrain from asking such questions until you have answered my questions three and I will be glad to help you.
