Are you complaining about improvements? Microsoft puts out a newer console with HDMI. They cut prices. They're planning to make a much better console, and yet you're saying this is a problem?
Honestly, it's better for them to release a year early and put out improved versions a year late than to just launch the console a year late. If you seriously think it would have been better to wait until this year to launch the console with this newer hardware, you have some majorly misguided views.

The many joys of Insanity and little black pills...Ya know the frustration alot of gamers had when the Elite first came out...for the NEW 360 owners... every one else just felt (give or take) screwed over.
Why bother evening buying one if a new one is always around the corner...its like the blasted waiting game.

That's a choice consumers make. An early launch was the best thing that could have possibly happened to the 360. If you don't like it, don't buy the console.
As for what I'm going to do, I'll probably buy the Halo 3 console if it's available when I'm looking to buy another. If not, I'll be going with the Elite. Again, all of this assumes 65nm. I don't need another console, I want one for convenience. I probably won't buy one unless the 65nm gets implemented.
I'm still trying to adjust to the fact that console transmit in HD.
HDMI is another way of saying a step up. I like HD, but not so much that I want to buy another console. Even with the 65 nm (which nVidia has employed for their new G92 GPU), I don't think that would convince me (of course the obvious benefits like power consumption and heat might tip me in some direction).
The new Premium consoles don't appear to have the Falcon motherboard. They're listed as Zephyr, the codename for the board in the Elite, so it's likely the 65nm isn't in this wave.
Australia gets a price drop too. $70 off the pro and $100 off the core...woot...Pity I have a 360 >_>
(we don't have the elite, I doubt we will if we're getting the HDMI pro consoles anyway)
One thing to mention is that the core doesn't really get any more stock in stores. Most retailers have stopped it. I guess the $100 is to get rid of all stock?

I'm a little confused.. My birthday is coming up real soon so would it be best to buy a 360 now since halo 3 comes out 21 days after my birthday or wait till Christmas for the new things to take effect?

I will have to pull of a miracle to afford the 360 in a few weeks. This is if I go for the 20GB HDD 360. Is what you are saying the prices will be dropping again this Christmas with the new dashboard or were you discussing why it was dropped.
well i dont know what to do but i have a month to decide.i can either spend all my money on a laptop or buy a 360 and halo3 but my big bro has a 360 and mine broke so i usualy play his when hes either not home or asleep but thats like the only time what do you guys think i should do pc or 360?

well the pc i have now is downstairs and i have no room for it in my room and i dont have my xbox downstairs and H2V lags on this pc lack of ram but i think i should go with a laptop because beings how my bro has a 360 and has a copy of halo3 reserved i dont think it will raise trouble theres splitscreen ranked matches so i think i should get a top of the line laptop but i dont know i dont really have a reason for the laptop other then h2v and i am beginning game development but that wont really go into use for another few months so what do you guys think youd do in my shoes
