No offense to any of the staff, but you guys make it sound like bans take eternity and they're quite a hassle. Is it really that much of an inconvenience, or do they just build up?
And by what Ravn said, the JA setup seemed much more convenient, but that's just me. I have no staffing experience on any forums.

No, it's not difficult, it just doesn't get done quickly. There's a 'Ban Request Thread' where staff members post, often times, those posts don't get looked at and action doesn't get taken for several days.bibbit wrote:No offense to any of the staff, but you guys make it sound like bans take eternity and they're quite a hassle. Yes, as IF said, messaging us in AIM/MSN will result in significantly faster bans than if you were to post in the thread. As I said before, i rarely even look at that thread anyway, if it's so unimportant that you can just casually post it in a thread, it just doesn't seem that important to do anything about it. Not saying nothing shouldn't happen, which is why you should message me directly. I'm on most of the day, even if you just leave a message it'll be done.

The problem with that is that after several days, its possible that the offender could get rid of any evidence that would incrimiate him. On the other hand, using AIM/PM would be a good idea, but strangly, people don't really seem to use it. I see posts that are somewhat unrelated that would have been better as a PMTural wrote:No, it's not difficult, it just doesn't get done quickly. I think the Junior Admins are a good idea, becuase they can ban, and the point behind it was to get people who are on frequently to check any threads that need attention. However, its up to the Staff and admins to decide for that matter. I do have Staffing/Administration experience on several forums, so keep that in mind if you need any help with anything.

Incorrect. The Readers Club prevents such actions.McJix wrote:The problem with that is that after several days, its possible that the offender could get rid of any evidence that would incrimiate him.
That's not really relevant to this discussion. In addition, admins are available on instant messengers.McJix wrote:I see posts that are somewhat unrelated that would have been better as a PM
