Can Someone Post A list of what non-host modders can do?

Can Someone Post A list of what non-host modders can do?

Some things work and something don't work when you are a modder in a game while your not host. Can somebody please post a list of the things you can do while your not host? ex: walk on walls, fly, airborne, rapid fire.

It sounds like you are gonna use this to cheat.

He wants to know what they can do...he's not getting any sort of advantage out of this. He wants to know what he can do that his friends/other players will be able to do as well.

Non modders can see/do:
Projectiles:
Plasma pistol projectile swaps
Rocket launcher projectile swaps
All other gun projectile swaps are not viewable.

Skins:
Sentinal beam.
No other skins are viewable.

BSP placement:
I believe on Gemini there is a platform that was not used in game, if you move that to a location that you can get to in the map they will be able to see and interact with it.

Vehicle:
I believe only the warthog is able to be modded and used by nonmodders when flyable.

Weapons:
Infinite ammo and Rapid fire is achievable by nonmodders.

no, there is a tutorial for non-modder-seeable-skins in the tutorials section, noeone proved it didn't work

No one wants to waste time proving it wrong. I doesn't take a genius to figure out that custom skins for non-modders is impossible.

Try it then. I can guarantee you it will not work.

It's common Halo 2 modding knowledge that non-modders cannot see what's not already in the maps that are on the disc. That includes custom skins.

Yeah, seriously. For it to work, the game would have to transfer your files to the other Xbox through the network. It's not even remotely possible without recoding the game.

He is correct, platypuss. Think of custom skins as new maps, but on a much smaller scale. Or like how games such as Counter-Strike make you download the custom skins/sounds/models that a server is using. The Xbox can't just "tell" the other Xbox "hey, you need to download these files and replace x with the file I'm using, y".

I can't really think of a good way to explain it.

even i dought it would work when i first saw the title, but you can never possibly know, it's not like anyone knows everything

i know that non modders can walk on walls if it's put into the map, and removed death barriers are also removed

i think that if the tank projectile is put onto another weapon i think only the explosion or the black singe spot [post explosion] can be seen.

all i remember from game on XLink, lol
