hmm.. looking back at that...... would shader swaps do anything for that? I mean... if that works, might it be possible to do the same with a vehicle?? another thing, couldn't you edit the active camo bump maps to make the object less visible, with less distortion? in my opinion, it's very easy to spot someone with active camo... that's just me... cuz I look around with a sniper and I see a distortion in the lighting of the area, and there he is lol I personally would like to be a bit less visible with active camo; it's supposed to be for stealth... and with it, you still appear on enemy radar, so that's even worse! lolAgent ME wrote:The sword doesn't take the cloaking because that's how its shader is programmed. I found that one out when I nulled the bitmaps on the warthog. I'd lose it for like a minute unless it was partly destroyed and smoking.Rockymods wrote:Then you'll never find the warthog, it would be absolutely invisible unlike how camouflage leaves distortions.
However I will look into this some more tomorrow. It would be cool but those camo bumps need to be on otherwise you'll just see dirt flying everywhere.

pure adrenline attached to a license plate, isn't time to experience one yourself?

For the warthog you'd have to go into the foot, and null out the effe's that are associated with it...Unfortunatly, it'd make a pretty unrealistic and kinda crappy looking hog that leaves no drit trails.
For things like the ghost youd have to null out the cont's and the lens's
Turk, the thing you said is absolutley awesome, I shall look into using that in future

odd part is that its been found for a while between TLM but i think we just forgot to update the plugins with it. I will post a sample mod of it soon and put it up in the downloads for the creator and others to play with. Here is a link though to a vid dan made a while ago showing off the invisible vehicles. I will also update the plugin when i upload the mod.

actually a camo bump isnt hard, Ive done it before. Its just a matter of reusing the normal bump
And like i said before its easy cause its only one value. It will be updated once i get it labled again.

I got the value pin pointed and the plugin will be updated in a minute. The way it works is that if you set it to a negative it will make vehicles or people it hits invisilbe. In order to make a gun make you invisible you have to use the weapon tag, wich might be the way needed for the hog to camo itself. Anyway here is a pic of the ghost and hog with bump while in camo.

Unfortunatly the glass of the hog in uneffected.

... is that sarcasm? If not did you wait for the second pic to load?
