The Law:
As defined by Dictionary.com, Photography is '"the art or process of producing images of objects on photosensitive surfaces." Now, though what we take can never be true "photography" (being how we have no true photosensitive surface), I would like to point out the most important part of the definition: "the art."
Back when Halo 2 was released, each of us (myself included) feasted on the limited supply of H2 screenshots. We hungered for them, and more never seemed to be enough. Bungie showed us Halo in ways that we had never before seen it, and it made us love the game before we had ever even played it.
With this in mind, I decided that we as Halo modders have much to offer the world (and each other) in the way of Halo Photography. We can freeze game time, move the camera angle to where ever we like it, and capture the game in ways nobody has ever captured it before. What's more, we can actually edit the physical appearance of the game to look like whatever we desire. Sure, Bungie made a bunch of amazing Halo photographs, but we are capable of so much more.
Now with the Beta Mods: I have myself posted pictures of my beta mods; however, with each and every one of them, I was careful to make sure the shot was well composed, HUD free, and, in a sense, taken with a sense of "art." There is no room here for snapshots of a WIP. This is for Composed, well-prepared and thought out photographs. If you wish to post a WIP, make sure it's a well-thought picture (much like Bungie WIP pictures). Pictures of mods are what makes a Photography section on a modding forum so unique.
Finally, I do not want to see a single picture of the HUD from this point on. That was made very clear in my first post of this thread, and I expect you all to respect that. If the picture you're posting isn't trying (in an aesthetic way) to help people experience the game in new ways, it shouldn't be posted at all.
The End.

This thread is hereby locked for approximatley 2 days unless said otherwise by Chad (Just so you know, he was the one who suggested this move. I agree with it).
Why? So the message gets through to the people of halomods about Chad's reaffirmed law. Unfortunatley, it was forgotten for a period of time until we came to this.
So please take the time to read Chad's post and follow it for when this thread is unlocked in a few days.
I would also like to point out, that people who do want critique on their WIPs is to make a thread about it. Not only has it been allowed for all time, it is the purpose of the pictures section of halomods. If you post WIPs in their own respective thread, people can focus solely on your work without having to either clog up other people's veiwspace in the photography thread or become unnoticed by other photo's/WIPs.
I hope you can all respect this and for those who have awesome photography, to wait just a few days and post it then.
Thanks all
While waiting, may I suggest that you revisit old posts here? There are probably hundreds of photos that you've missed out on and will probably enjoy. It'd also bring back some old memories from older photos that you have seen.
