Moving AI

Every time I ask how to get moving, fully functional AI in MP, I am told "that's AI zones, we don't know how to do that yet." Yet I see many a map that has AI who hunt you down and destroy you (can you say AI revision?). All I ask is, how the heck do I make my AI budge?

I would guess from the AI zones... Meaning the AI zone meta, have you put that into your MP map and tried the AI?

AI zones would be the best way, but it is also the most inefficient. A jmad swap is much easier. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to do it. PM tbeezie or another AI guy. Im sure that they will help out :wink:

I'm a AI guy and if u do add AI zone, it doesn't mean they'll move, U had to have a SP BSP in MP to get the AIs to work. u jmad edit them make them move.

Go into the AI's bipd's jmad and find there idle animation and swap it for walking_forward(or something along those lines). Turk had a tut for jmad swaps but I have no idea where it went.

Don't worry, I know where to find a jmad swap tut, I just didnt know that's what you have to do. But will swapping the jmad really make the AI kill you?

to make the AI move like normal AI you have to have more then just AI zones you have to have alot of things they all have to be linked correctly and you have to have pathfinding,AI encounters,AI orders index,all the AI required spawning stugg like weapon chunk vehicle chunk character chunk etc,from what i hear the Pats are mapped by a model of them map with specific paths but that could be wrong its a kinda long list but it has to be all linked correctly i have added the reflex for the AI Zones but little did i know theres alot more to it then adding the reflex so youre best bet is a jmad swap untill Trulife brings us AI Zones
