how d i make the mods work
help. i am downloading ods for halo. but they are not added to halo. they won't ork. help. also i can't seem to find the halo maqp folder

oh man you sound like you've gotten into a mess that you dont understand, I recommend going into the utilties section and getting HMT v3.5 HHT and Sparkedt. those are modding tools. And if your modding regular halo pc then your maps should be under c:/program files/microsoft games/halo/maps
Once you get the programs go into the tutorials section and it'll tell you how to work them. Good luck with moddig, I see you joined today so i hope you learn fast and get good at it

I think that what he was asking is how to use mods he downloaded. Ok, here ya go.
1: Download the Mod
2: Most likely you'll need to UNRAR it, Google WINRAR and unzip it with that.
3: Go to your maps folder (Go to my computer, program files, microsoft games, halo(trial), maps) and copy all of the maps, and paste them in a folder, name it backups.
4: Copy the .map file from the download.
5: Go to my computer, program files, microsoft games, halo(trial), maps and paste it in there, click yes to overwrite it.
6: Play halo and select that level. Have fun.
IF it's a .ppf file:
1: Backup your maps like you would above
2: Download PPF-O-MATIC, select your map as the ISO file, and the .ppf as the patch. Hit apply, then open halo and select the level. Have fun
BTW, if you downloaded halo into somewhere else, you'll need to find out where.
