How do u extract a bitmap from the bitmap.map file?

in HMT click save texture and put it in a file and then open it in photoshop with the .dds plugin or sum other program that supports .dds files

But the Bitmap.map file will not open with HMT

wut u mean it wont open with HMT
like when u click on it the box is black or it says HMT was unable to show preveiw
cuz for either one u will still be able to save the file in a folder

You're not supposed to open the bitmaps.map file to extract bitmaps (or sounds.map for sounds). You just open the level that a bitmap is in, like open Blood Gulch (or whatever) click the Bitmap tag, and click on the bitmap you want to extract.

i thought u were talkin about the bitmaps tag in HMT
wut he sed ^^^
