2 new maps (something useful this time)
i just had an idea. why doesnt someone make a bsp conversion of tombstone and, say, gemeni, make it a serenity, then people can patch it and have tombstone and that other map! as long is its legal
That other map = Desolation.
Sounds like a good idea, but IDK if that would be legal, cus the patch file would probably contain data from the 2 maps.

A patch is a record of every difference found from a file to file comparison, whilst many programs incorporate other things into the equation to result in smaller patch files, the theory is still basically the same.
The serenity would not be the same byte-from-byte as the map file, partly due to the nature of serenity.. but also due to the off chance of matching bytes. The patch would of course be approximately the same size as a map file, or if your unlucky, actually bigger.
..also, It would not be illegal.

That's not true, all that HaloMods does is give info on how to mod halo which isn't illegal, at all. HaloMods stays AWAY from illegal activity and does not give any information out on how to do anything illegal.plattypuss wrote:halomods.com doesnt do illegal things, just gives out info of HOW to do illegal things, so halomods isn't illegal, as long as the users keep that up

It is not illegal... If you think it is illegal because it is messing with the copyright, you may wannta go read up on what a copyright really is. Modding halo or the xbox cannot be illegal otherwise wouldn't you have already heard of people getting put in jail for it? I don't think you have. Modding is not illegal... Period.

It amazes me how stupid people are >_>
Its this ideology that sickens me; "We at halomods do illegal things, so we can get away with anything"
just smarten up; what we do is legal, and when done right it is a great asset to a game. However as we saw with the LIVE modders it can also destroy a game >_>
We have the POWER to do bad things, but we must make the CHOICE to do the right things. If you do not agree with this then you are what I call "The downfall of Halomods".
